Melony pulled down one of her eyelids and stuck out her tounge before Miasma gave Melony control of her voice back. ((Note, unless Miasma specifically asks Melony for control, or she falls unconscious, it is only controlling her voice.))
Melony looked apologetically at the Ouroboros projection, stopping the taunt. "Sorry, it just felt necessary at the time..."
Are you... Apologizing to the rudest holographic projection that I have ever met? Scratch that, are you apologizing to a PROJECTION?!?!
"... Sorry Miasma... But that will be all, database. Thank you for the information." Giving it a small bow, Melony left the room.

"How interesting. Well in that case I had a piece of advise for you, you little rude miss-happen, but you being as rude as you are I am not going to tell you!" The Ouroboros projection smirked.
"Sorry, it just felt necessary at the time..."
"Hmmm?" The projection raised an eyebrow "Well, I guess I'll accept the apology so here is my advise for you: 'Beware the true living dead that lives in the shadows and melt in the light. For they are controlled by the one friend of G9!'" Ouroboros said prophetically "Now bugger off!" He said and disappeared.

- Easy with the crates now.- Said Vlad when loading the dropship. The research facility housed a lot of alien technology, even several dead aliens. They were blueish grey, with almond shaped eyes, no nose or mouth was visible. The specimen was as tall as Vlad and wore silver like armor. It had gills, supposingly the creature was of aquatic origin. The team just left it there as it was of no use.
- The last one?- Vlad asked. Seth nodded. - Ok, nothing to do here anymore- Vlad went to the cockpit. Soon Seth and Inferno joined him.
- Let's go home. Michelle, lift up this can.

Mona put her cellphone back into her purse. It was getting darker and Edmund stood in the shadows.
"Eh Edmund, do you like, mind walking with me 'till I get home? You know, just in case." Mona asked.
"I don't mind, but we'll have to stick to the alleys and the darker streets." Edmund responded.
"Why? Oh, wait. Stupid question. I suppose you don't walk down the highstreets looking like that."
"Yeah, people tend to freak out when they see me." Edmund said gloomy.
Mona looked like she wanted to say something, but changed her mind and started walking. Edmund caught up with her in a few steps. An uncomfortable silence hung between them for a while.
Edmund decided to break it. "What did you mean when you said that I stole your best friend twice?"
"Huh?"
"Back on the roof, when I asked you why you hated me."
Mona had to think for a moment. "Oh, right. Slipped my mind. You sure you wanna know that?"
"I know virtually nothing from before I woke up like this. Any information about my past would help me." Edmund said
"Ok, but it'll ruin the mood. You remember Amber?"
"Yeah, I remember Amber. Not much, but I remember her." Edmund replied with a lump forming in his throat.
"Well Amber and I used to be best friends since we were like five. We always did everything together. Untill you came along. When she became your girlfriend, I felt like you stole her from me."
"Do you know how selfish you sound right now?"
"I do now, now I'm older and all. That's why I was so mean, I felt like you were hogging her." Mona replied. "But that does not change how I felt at the time. Anyway, the second time was when you broke up with Amber."
"I don't remember breaking up with Amber." Edmund said surprised.
"Yeah, well you did and you did it pretty mean too. You wrote her a letter when you were in Europe digging for history. You said you could not bear be with her anymore and you would be staying in Europe."
"Digging for history?"
"Yeah, you were studying that in our first year in college. What's the propper name for that again?"
"Archeology?" Edmund guessed.
"Yeah, that. I still think that was very mean of you. When she got that letter it broke her heart and Amber got all depressed. She couldn't bring herself to do anything anymore. She dropped out of college and later she moved away to another city. I don't see her anymore. We email sometimes, but she can't come here anymore."
"Why not?"
"This city reminds her of you. We tried it a year back and she got all depressed again. She lives with her uncle and aunt in Montana now." Mona said.
"I can see why you blame me for that. But I have to confess that I don't remember ever going to Europe or breaking up with Amber." Edmund said.
"Yeah, well anyway I was realy mad at you for breaking Amber's heart and when I saw you that all came back. But you changed, in more ways than one. And it wouldn't be very nice of me if I didn't give you a second chance." Mona said as they exited the park. Luckily for them, there wasn't much traffic and they could cross the street into one of the alleyways without incident.
"I am gratefull for that second chance. Looking like this, I cannot afford to refuse anything that's offered to me." Edmund said earnestly. "I hope you know you're way home through the alleys."
"I think I do, but I don't use them much. Without much light here, it can be dangerous here at night." Mona replied.
"I don't think you'll have to worry about that tonight." Edmund replied more lightly.
"I don't think so either. Trying anything funny with you around would be suicide." Mona said, her mood also lightening.
"Unless you're some kinda supervillain, yeah, I can rough someone up pretty bad."
It started to rain again and it soon became a downpour.
"AAWWW, I lost my umbrella with all that mess in the park. I'll get all wet." Mona cried out.
Edmund lifted one of his wings up high enough to shield Mona from the rain. "It's no umbrella, but I can offer you my wing."
Mona quickly moved under Edmund's wing. "Thanks Edmund."
"Don't mention it."
"It's not that far anymore. Just 3 blocks or so. You gonna be Ok?" Mona asked.
"Yeah, I'll be just fine." They walked the rest of the way in silence, though it wasn't as uncomfortable as before.
When they neared the entry to the alleyways, Mona halted. "I got a little flat just round the corner. Do you wanna stay in the alley?"
"I think that would be better." Edmund replied.
"Thank you for saving me." Mona said as she gave Edmund a brief hug. As she released him, she made a break for the building trying to get through the rain quickly.
Edmund flexed his wings again and flapped them a few times. The rain spattered in all direction and he felt that his wings would still hurt if he tried to glide. So he climbed up to the roof of the building he stood next to, to think what he'd do next.
(OOC: (Edmund did go to Europe in the past, but he never sent the letter Mona refered to. However, Mona is not lying.))

"Great!" I shout as I start running down the firestairs. Building collapsing and all I end up practically jump down the different levels until I feel I am low enough to risk jumping directly down to the ground.
"This might hurt!" I grumble as I leap over the saftey grind and right down onto the ground. Luckily me, rolling when landing help splitting the impact all over my body instead of just towards my feet. As far as I can tell, I am still in one piece without any broken bones. However that might just be adrealine.
I stand up as fast as I can and look up to see if Econ is okay or not.

Surprise, when I look up I see nothing of Econ, I just see the building finally giving in and collapsing fully. I stand to stare at the building and right when its almost fully collapses a voice behind me says "I didn't catch your name. What was it again?"
I turn around in surprise and see the man standing right behind me. "Der Kommissar, or 'The Commissioner' in your English language. I recently moved to this place from Germany, so that I might fight Evil at its center." I say "You are Econ, correct?"

Kane turned to Melony. "Friendly, ain't it?" he said with a smile. "I figure that's all you wanted to hear. What's up with that other thing you asked about, Miasma ain't the only thing like that? Should I find and eliminate the other one?"

The alien tech had a lot of interesting 'toys'. One of the most interesting ones were a gauntlet able to control gravity((lookwise similiar to the one from Singularity)) and a device lookwise identical to a key card used in most new cars, which could distrup any electronic device or AI. Vlad was deeply interested in the latter.
- Nice toy. I bet it would annhilate the Machine Mob.- Said Vlad while examining the card. He looked at the clock.- Look at the time. I guess I pay a visit to that club. Wanna come?- Vlad asked Seth.
- I'll pass.
- Suit yourself.- Vlad placed the 'key card' into his pocket and went to the garage. He sat in his old Volga and drove to town. Soon enough he stopped near the club. He entered the building and immediatly noticed the wall with the pictures.
- The idiots got my birth date wrong. It's June 12th, not December 6th. And they had to use this old picture- It was cutted and enlarged from the one took back in 1975, during the parade celebrating the victory of WWII.- Barkeep! Where can I find Redfox?

"Barkeep?" The man Vlad had yelled/tallked to looks up from his drink and turns to Vlad, before annoyed saying "The barkeep is the bar! I am just an member of this club enjoying a drink, so don't go assuming things!" The man mumbled something under his breath before saying "Mr. Redfox went to check on the other guests in the info bank." The man pointed towards the corridor "And here they are, coming out already!"

Jack saw Melony and Kane come out of the info center((yes I will keep changing what I call it)) "Ahh!" he said "I trust you found the information you needed yes? Then perhaps you would accompany me back to the bar, there is a guest here I am sure you will find more than familiar, Mr. Kane." Jack said and gesture towards the bar.
When exiting the corridor Jack looked up to the bar and shouted "Mr. Alujev! What a pleasant surprise that you could join us! How are you doing today?"

- You blew up Zero's mansion and two or three blocks with it, we together destroyed the largest mall in the city during a hunt for another now dead hero, and the flameboy wants to kill our club's chairman, because he's been associated with a villain named Xion. Looks like I mentioned everything. - Said Vlad. Feeling a bit stupid he looked at the bar and said:
- Two large glasses of vodka and several pickles.- the machinery of the bar fullfilled his order. He lifted one nearly full glass and said:

"Hey!" Redfox interrupted "I was cleared off all charges about being a lapdog for that bloody psychopath! Geeze, I bought one company from the guy and suddenly everyone is after me for it! His company was not even big before I got around! I even was killed for doing that one little deal with him. ME! Burned to death by some angry widow maiden or something!" Jack stopped ranting and took a deep breath "Anyway. The reason me and Mr. X wanted you guys here is because we all got a common problem: Ouroboros! Mr. X would have loved to join us but find himself preoccupied with "salvaging" the Doctor's lab, so he will be joining us by phone." Jack pointed at a phone that came up from under the bar disk, Jack clicked on the "loudspeaker" button and said "We can hear you now."
"Excellent." a voice said from the other side "Good evening chaps and lasses, I apologize for not being there in person but good old Mengele just got so many nifty little experiments for me to just pack my things and go just yet. I mean, who knows when someone else will discover that he is dead, right? Or what if he had some auto-destruct sequence programmed into these machines. What a waste! What a waste!"
"Anyway, it was Ouroboros." Jack jumped in.
"Ohh right, Ouroboros. How much do you guys know of him? Ohh and who has gathered of the once we sent letters to?" The voice on the other side asked and waited for a reply.
"Well, we got Kane, Vlad, Melony and Inferno ended up here as well. However if we are going to wait for the other three we will have to wait for them to find Inferno...which might take awhile..." Jack sighed "And I think Inferno knows more of Ouroboros past and powers than both you and me combined!" Jack shrugged.

"No. A single human, no matter how modified, could not end that monster's existence." Miasma told Kane. "I made it too strong for that..."
Before Kane could ask Miasma what it meant, Vlad came in, followed closely by Inferno. (The latter of which was too busy trying to intimidate Kane to notice that his ball of fire shrank the closer he got to Melony.) Then some other random people came out of cracks in the walls and so did Mr. Redfox.
Well, we got Kane, Vlad, Melony and Inferno ended up here as well. However if we are going to wait for the other three we will have to wait for them to find Inferno...which might take awhile..."
"Well, we know about where all the people showed up, right?" Melony chimed in almost nervously. "So maybe we should... Search in..." She started to stutter as she spoke. She looked at Kane and Mr. Redfox and something clicked in her mind. "Well, what I mean is, and I'm assuming that you are talking about the other two people who fought against Ouroboros with me, well, I'm guessing that they won't be leaving the city for a while." She paused to take a deep breath. "I think that I could identify them by sight, and they will probably recognize me as well."
"It's worth a shot..." Melony's confidence suddenly ran dry, "Right?"
