Bluray machines
What should I look for? 
I want the HDMi ofcourse, I want it be able to play Bluray - DOH  , But what else ?
There are so many different machines out there and I have no clue what to buy

Try a PS3, it does that and it plays videogames.

Depends on what kind of system you have otherwise.
Do you need to be able to use it as a center for your system with speakers etc. etc.
Oh but don't buy the cheapest, they tend to lack the computing power required.

I have a PS3 and it's a great Blu-Ray player. Obviously a bit more expensive than many other Blu-Ray players out there, but you also get the online capabilities and - of course - the ability to play PS3 games. Only other downside I can see is that it doesn't come with a standard remote, and most universal remotes aren't compatible, because it doesn't use IR. You'll have to either stick with the game controller (annoying at first but I got used to it) as your remote, purchase a PS3 dedicated remote, or purchase a pretty expensive universal remote that also has bluetooth capability.
If you're not going to go with a PS3, you'll want to make sure the player has HDMI ports - though I can't imagine any wouldn't at this point - and you want to make sure you get one that can stream movies from places like Netflix.

Make sure you get one with a long lifespan; Blu-Ray lenses tend to burn out very quickly. I used my PS3 a ton and burned out a lens in just a tiny bit over a year (like days after the warranty expired  ).

Warranty actually works one month retroactively(is that the right word?).
Anyways, the warranty would still have covered that.

No, my warranty expired. Fortunately replacing the lens my self wasn't very hard, and only 40$, instead of the regular 150 they charge.
