Indeed... I am pretty sure they read some of the Ceasar threads and decided to add some security and anti cheating programming. Password protection for saves, and disconnect detector. It reports if connection was actually lost or faked.  Takes time to add all them features.

If so, this has been delayed to June 21st, at least that's the date given on steam.

I think that's great :. Oh and I'm actually not being sarcastic.a) Because I exspect the game to benefit from it and b) It's because it gives me enough time to work for a new pc and have some cash to spare for Wine, women and song. Wouldn't be surprised if the rest wasn't sooo thrilled about it though .

For the ToHers.
The offical release date for MM:H6 is now officially September 8th.
Also the BETA seems to be up. Check it out.Now you "simply" need to install the client and get your hands on a beta-key.

If someone believes he beta version is out, I think they must be mistaken.Neither UBI or Steam show this event.

I pre ordered the game on steam. Would be nice if could play the beta as thoroughly as i played heroes 5 beta.

Hello,
Nice to talk to you after such long time that passed since Heroes V.
I just obtained the beta yesterday and after playing around with it for a bit I must say it has great potential to be an enjoyable multiplayer experience.
If they balance it right it should be a blast to play, and I hope ToH will pick it up. Playing Heroes V with you guys was mega fun.

Duh! That goes without saying
So far the impressions I have from beta are:
1. Interface is abysmal. I really hope it's just a placeholder. Needs lots of work.
2. Zones of control concept is pretty cool and reduces tediousness.
3. I'm not sure if I like complete lack of randomness when it comes to hero skills. On one hand it's good to be able to plan your hero build, but on the other, this may lead to finding a few good builds and stick to them in every game.
4. For now the skills are completly worthless. I have a level 5 hero of magic and none of his spells do more damage than basic hero attack. Generally unimpressed with spells so far, but this is probably subject to balancing.
5. From the multiplayer menu I can infer that this game had multiplayer in mind from the beginning. Very configurable difficulty setting (monster strength, starting resources, rate of creature growth etc.) as well as separate timers for turns and for battle. For now it's not clear if simultaneous turns will be a feature, since the only option in beta is hot-seat.
6. 7th tier creatures seem weak. At least in Sanctuary, which is amphibian/naga castle. I hope they buff them a little.

So I am also wanting to preorder and get the Beta.. however.. I think its silly to spend $50 and not get a HardCopy CD for my money.. Does anyone know if they will be sending a Hardcopy CD to all who preordered and got the beta?

You might want to check your major gaming sites.
In my country several of such sites gave away beta-keys for free.
For example, the site where I got beta from has got 4500 beta keys to give.
