well, on rank 8 and a bit after ElectraK helped me out a bunch. Man it is a lot slower leveling when you have to run around and do it all yourself.
You guys had better need rogue skills, because at the moment I wish I'd just made myself a tank. I'm still a bit confused by the feats setup; I had dual wield feat, but then when I leveled up fighter and picked nimble fingers, I just had that and fighter feats. To top it off, when I used my ability points everything was halved because they were rogue ones! Confoozled/

You can't freely take rogue skills whenever you take a level in fighter, otherwise you would be able to just take a single level of rogue and then keep being able to increase your rogue-skills to level 20 in whatever other class you want (which wouldn't be very fair). It costs double points to get skills in a non-class skill.

Ok, I've reached lv5 now and no sign of any HC members. 
Soloing is going well, but my computer decided to crash JUST when I was about to finish Irestone Inlet. I really really hate those witchdoctors but next time, I'm bringing resist fire potions.
However, I've reached a little stage of indecisivness. You see, I'm the sort that like to swap between characters, play a little of that and a little of this. Now, I've got monk in my mind.
Finsihing moves seem awesome, and beating things up with fists is always fun.
The problem is of course, buying it. At the moment, the scales are pretty balanced, with cost on one side and fun factor on the other.
So my question to you guys is pretty simple. Would a monk, even if played by s total moron, be anything that would be good to have and/or just plain fun? And in that case, what sort of monk would fit in best? 
Of course, I'm still sticking with the cleric for a few more levels, gotta reach the third level spellbook atleast.

Monk is always good, just have high wisdom and dexterity. Also, being a pure monk is better than multi-classing, as pure monks become GOD ON EARTH!!! At level 20. Any monk would fit good, though the best race for monk is Human or Half elf.

So, fought Osci in a brawling arena and died. Then I stabbed him in the back until he died... So yes, a fun two minutes.

@Baron ... congrats for doing so well. I can see we have another ddo power levelling monster in our midst (Blizz being reigning champion).
The time differences mean that it can sometimes be awkward to get everyone or even another guildie on, so you need to get used to Pug-ing. Join a group. Go to your Social Panel (press O) and check out the Grouping. What is available for your level is highlighted. You just double click on the groups you're interested in ... and pow!

Finally got this downloaded and to work..found out I can not walk lol..its like my character is drunk, stoned, and has multiple personalities all wanting to go separate ways..the controls are a bit .. choatic. Anyhow, having played just about every class at one time or another..any suggestions for a good solo class? Cause with my issues with controlling this..don't want to endanger anybody else lol. Monk would be good..if I could survive the first few levels.

Well Monk would be interesting, especially as its one of the best for soloing, but you will have to buy it. Not to mention, if you're unsteady on your feet I have no idea how you will play a monk. Unless its Drunken Style Kung Fu, which I don't think ddo have
