Have you pressed T to enable mouselook? Have you set your mouse sensitivity right? But yeah I agree the controls are a bit finicky. I've just been watching sorcerers ice-lance the bejesus out of everything, so good for sniping! I wish I'd taken a barbarian/cleric (or something) build. Clerics are so useful!

I've given in to my own pressure and bought the monk. I'm at level 4 at the moment, going down the darkness path.
To say that I'm having fun is an understatement. 
High saves, high to hit's and great attack speed. My damage is a bit low (5-6 damage/hit + weapon effect.  ) but popping one of the ki attacks usually help with that, even more so if a double hit triggers.

@meroe Hun-I've played for 20+ years..I've done it all. Even some that you won't ever see in the books (a house version of mystic warrior was uber fun. Casting spells one handed..point blank at an enemy while swinging a scimitar ... now that was FUN)

I see TheBaron hit level 6 with his Fighter/Rogue. Go melee rogue hybrid go!
I hit level 7 with Zerru this afternoon and gained the acrobat prestige. Huzah.

Thanks Blizz, getting there. I'm having a bit of difficulty with the even fighter/rogue multi. I'm both weak and not very goot at spotting and disabling traps. I really wish I'd gone khopesh proficiency, good hide stat and finesse, rather than my current tank/thief try-hard build of snow sword, strength and toughness (without the constitution to back it up). That being said, now I have OK light armor I tend to evade heaps of damage, but when things hit me... boo they hit hard.
I'll probably be back on in about... 7 hours? if anyone's up for a party then. I want to be level 8 before I finish the weekend
EDIT: It's funny because I do have a +1 long sword of frost. What a basterd!

@ Oscarius: W/out a weapon, your fists should deal 1d8 damage at level 4... +Whatever bonuses you get from darkness and you strength. Also, your wisdom bonus is added to your AC with you dexterity bonus... If you don't wear any armor.
Like Mytical, I played this game long before I played DDO.

I'll send the sword in a sec.
If you find some decent handwraps or some clothes or trinkets with magic resistance, give me a poke. I've found a Robe of Invulnerability (for a steal) so the thing I'm scared off at the moment is those pesky mages.
I also used the free feat token to turn myself into a light monk for the moment. I'll swap back when I'm ready for lv9, for the hilarious touch of death. But now I'm running around being some sort of semi-cleric.

Had good fun questing with The Baron during the wee small hours!! WE did the 'pay to play' p2p chain Delera's Tomb, which in my opinion is one of the best, if not the best of the lower level packs. Brilliant for xp and loot. Its a good idea to buy this pack, if you are thinking of getting adventure packs. Once you've bought them, you keep them for life, so they are a good investment
Running Delera's twice can help you gain two whole levels, so its definitely worth it.
My only issue was that I got hit with massive lag issues on the last quest (which is also my favorite - so boy I was p**sed). Despite our cleric's weirdness I had a great time. Met a couple of interesting sorts (who I think Baron is consorting with on a regular basis .... but sshhh ).
So thanks for the fun Baron.

So what's the deal with the different houses? It looks like each house reflects a race:
House Jorasco = Halflings
House Kundarak = Dwarves
House Pharlian = Human
House Deneith = Elf
?
Some of the design in this game is pretty well-done. House Deneith is gorgeous looking at night, and I love House Pharlian's big tall castle-like structures and the purple roofs.

Yes the Enclave's (Houses) are something like this:-
House Jorasco (Halflings) - Healing.
House Kundarak (Dwarves) - Banking.
House Phiarlan (Drow Elves/Elves) - Espionage.
House Deneith (Human) - Defenders/Warriors
There is also House Orien (Information).
House Cannith (Constructs - Warforged etc).
There may be a few more, but I'm not sure.
If you go to the Marketplace and see Lockhania. She bestows a quest which tests your knowledge on these things and if you pass you get your Dragonmark. The books in her room take you through a lot of this.

So i'm thinking about building a new toon - drow, pure ranger with the intent to make him a damage dealing fiend, and that in mid range levels will be able to do some very basic healing when needed.
I would like to thank Meroe for being an excellent sport, and for being basically only one of you I get to play with I like giving away things when I have them so make sure you check if I'm online!
