You know what would be cool? If you found a few threads where you had a given viewpoint upon a subject before entering said thread, but during the discussion you changed your viewpoint and sticked to it, until you found a better argument against, etc.
Like, example:
I believed in santa, until I read this thread: LINK TO HC THREAD ABOUT SANTA CLAUSEN
Then Azagal told me all about how santa is fake, cause no one... NO ONE!!! Would ever get coal every single year.
That day, I threw away my most beloved coal collection and ever since then I have been free! Free like the honeybee who does honeybee stuff!
Edit: How awesome! Mvass is not responding, which means he agrees, which means he's working his bum off to find such threads! I'm more excited than the first time I ever saw a pornographic movie! Not that I was very excited the first time I ever saw a pornographic movie, I was seven and I was visiting a friends house. For some reason he thought we should see it and I really didn't care. Then he started telling me about how the peeing was fake because you apparently couldn't do that while having sex and for some STRANGE STRANGE STRANGE reason, I remember that stuff.

I rarely change my opinion immediately, but something from a discussion may stick with me and make me change my mind a year down the line. For example, the discussions with TheDeath and others about education didn't convince me immediately, but now my thoughts on that subject are closer to his than they were at the time. Before that there was Bak, who convinced me to not be apathetic about the world's problems.
