Well, I'll give you something to think about.

How was everything made? How did our universe came to be?
We know that the Big Bang spread the material for creating the galaxies, stars, planets, but what has created the Big Bang if there was nothing in the begining?

This will be the ultimate test that we must pass if we are to be superior beings in this world (World = everything around us). Let's see what you think about that!

Hmm, what if there was another universe before this, and when the time for that universe came to an end, it collapsed on itself thus causing the Big Bang? (infinite cycle of universes)

Sounds...kinda odd and it still doesn't really explain how it all started

You bet! But there must be something that has created all the universes before that and that's what we're looking to discover.

Many would say "God", but many will say "Proof?".

What about the other religions? What about the ones that say "What has created the God?"

Consider, what if an alien race had mastered both time&space? would they not appear as gods to us?

I know that many people at least on HC think of God as described in Christianity and Judaism. I'm more open-minded about the Creator,at least that there things that cannot be revealed to us directly.
Heck, you might say I'm almost a deist in some aspects.

Hey! There's this teory about Chaos. It's like a thing that has created the Universe and it's the same thing that will end it.

Chaos? it's a theory formulated by many since ancient times, but I like to believe in a personal creator. Now if that's any closer to the truth, I don't know.

Why can people not just agree that it is practically impossible to trully know how existance began? We are likely to become extinct in hundreds to billions of years from now anyway without knowing the complete truth so why bother? All those brains that could have been used for solving real problems like war, starvation, global warming or export of american culture. No matter how interesting it is, does it really matter how it all began?

From a philosophical point of view, it does. Of course I'd love it if every big nation threw away their nuclear toys and all and started doing something against starvation, disease... but that's humans for ya.

Lol war caused far more technological advancements than you can imagine. And I'm not talking about weaponry.

To give you an example, compost was first invented for military purpose.

I didn't say anything about war. What if nobody stood up against the ottoman empire? Sometimes war is necessary.

I doubt we'd have achieved PRIMITIVE space travel in our life-time if it wasn't for the cold war.

and what created it?
I don't get it when people say it's not possible the universe appeared without a cause, and that cause must be a creator who himself appeared without a cause

I facepalm myself at the thought of the avarage athiest not having the mental capacity to comprehend eternity. There's nothing new under the sun. There is no simpler way to put it. The universe is what it is never destroyed or created, it is merely renewed, whether this is the will of some higher power or simple nature I care not, but please attempt to understand the fundementals before you go poking in the dark.

You are right about the war thing. Mankind has been motivated to achieve great things because of war but surely it has almost outgrown its usefullness. Today there are more noble goals that can take us further towards perfection.

I still think that we can never know the complete truth for sure or that it matters but I too find it hard to believe that something was created out of nothing(god is a very poor explaination though).
