That was absolutely fascinating. TED videos are never boring, but this one was truely interesting. When I came to the part where the monkey was playing Pacman I seriously lol'ed.

I am glad you liked it!
Intelligent non-human animals have always been a big fascination of mine. Imagine how smart certain animals could be, if we has driven 50000 years of choosen evolution.
Not that I think anything is wrong with "unintelligent" animals. I just think stuff like this makes us realise how much good we can actually do as a species, like a parent getting a child.

Some of my favourite examples are the bonobos actually. One of these two examples are Teco, the supposedly autistic bonobo, and his father Kanzi. They're both located at the same home as the ones in the video linked.
Kanzi is especially good at language and humans in general. Teco is still rather young (2,5 or something, I think) and there aren't that many good overlooking articles on him, but there are a bunch of more specific ones. Just google and read through those if you find the idea of an autistic bonobo as fascinating as I do, but I've come to note that most people don't.

Hah, very nice post, Man! Do you work in the animal business? I suppose that much aspect of the business is the same in different spheres. Yeah so? If humans identify apes (or any other animals) as too intelligent they'll see them as threats and kill them off. Like the rest of the planet ultimately, when we ran out of food...
