Don't be a troll. Game design =/= graphics and whether it is 2D or 3D.

I don't mean the game design in general but the tendency to release the game in more and more imperfect/incomplete state and do little to improve it later (granted, TotE was actually something done right... but it took its time, it was not free and it still left quite some things to be fixed).

Quote: I'd say that the vast majority of the Heroes players would settle with low-detail, eventually 2D adventure map with highly detailed, interactive and well-animated town screens than with what we currently have but of course Ubisoft never bothered asking. The cost of the town screens can't possibly be higher than the cost of the adventure map.
I doubt this. I'm all for great town screens, and see no reason why they aren't out yet, but most of the time is spent on the adventure map.
If I had to stare at grainy homm3 graphics for homm6 in this day in age (after playing homm5, Kings Bounty, and other games) then I'd be really annoyed and not play.
Yes, I think there will be a Heroes 7, but we won't see it until 2016 or possibly later.

I'd have grainy 2D over blocky 3D any day
Edit: Actually, nevermind. It's all about execution.
In any case, the number of dimensions does not have anything to do with Ubisoft being clueless an incompetent.

Of course I'm not talking about a 1999 adventure map (which I have no problem with by the way) but something more up to date. And I'm not talking about you but about most of the other people out there (that's my impression at least).

Funny thing is, that after all heroes game and after all this years a lot of people are still playing heroes 3. At the moment heroes 3 is even more played then heroes 6.

By comparing how many games there are. There are much more games from heroes 3 that I can join, then for heroes 6.

There is nothing to think about, when I looked how many games were there for heroes 6, i think about 20. For heroes 3 there are 30 or more, almost every time.

I think HoMM3 is the better game yet(!).
But thinking that more people play it than MMH6 nowadays is just zealous fanaticism

Well you can't see how many people are playing heroes 3 in single player. And because it's more played in multiplayer then heroes 6 (after more then 12 years), it should ring some bells.

No, it is not like Hamachi.
XFire is a program for tracking your gaming hours, chatting with other gamers (including while running a game - not for all games though), taking screenshots and videos (which you can upload to the Internet for others too see).
So, you can see what games you played, how much you played them, and also see the same for other people.
Warning: On my system, it seems XFire InGame feature doesn't work well for Heroes VI, so make sure to turn off the InGame function for Heroes VI, if you get crashes (especially on save/load).
When you turn off InGame for Heroes VI, XFire will still track your gaming hours for the game, but you won't be able to take screenshots or videos.

Damn, I made a major error! SORRY!
I was looking at Might and Magic VI, missing the Heroes part.
Actually, it seems Heroes VI is very popular:
XFire HIII
XFire HVI
It must be noted that XFire appeared after the release of HOMM III, so it tracked/tracks VI much better than III, because when HOMM III was at its peak, XFire did not yet exist.
If you want to add me on XFire, my nickname there is nakibest
See you there!
