I live in a suburb of Chicago, which is perfect. All the perks and freedom of living in a smallish town, with the cultural attractions of one of the largest and best cities in the world only 30 minutes away.

I live in a village and I can't complain about it. People are friendly, the air is fresh and if you like forests, you can come and visit. Trust me the Earth gave us the paradise.

Sounds just like Escanaba sans the perks, freedom, cultural attractions, and relation to one of the largest cities in the world.

Anyway, I live in suburbs (great: I have a small wooden area right across the street and a small lake at the end of my garden = nature is close; and yet it's only 5 minutes by bike til the train station and from there 20 minutes to centrao Copenhagen). I also work in suburbs which means no commuting which is even greater than living here. So yeah, suburbs rule (for the record, I lived in central Copenhagen for 5 years and got very tired of all the noice and cars everywhere).
