Add a function to a new object

How do I add functions to new objects in Heroes 3? Right now I have a bunch of objects which don't serve any function nor are available in the map editor. So I have two questions;

How to add new stuff to the editor?
How do I give objects a function?

Add new lines to zeobjts.txt file. There are several explanations around this forum

How do I give objects a function?

Code hooking with plugins or ERM. I suggest ERM for beginning.

Also if you want a built in function, also done by editing the object text files, so you can make any object a creature dwelling or star axis or whatnot.
