Which Level 4 stronghold melee creature would you chose?
We have:
the Cyclopse a 2/2/6 creatue with double attack
the Tainted orc a 4/3/7 creature with no abilities
and
the Crusher a 2/1/4 creature wit enrage 1 and Magic ressistenc
I personaly love thetainted orc, you cant go wrong with him andhe is agreat source of pwer fo Blood caller.
But the Cyclopse is a great damage unit which maes great use of diferent attack boosts
And the theres the crusher, he looks the weakst but his magic ressistence makes him a great weapon against all kinds o magic creatures like ghosts or lilim

Well, during closed beta i played magic heavy stronghold deck. Which had exactly 0 fortunes.
In that deck, tainted orc was vastly superior in my opinion. Sheer stats make him great line controler, and 7Hp also makes him able to endure lightning bolt damage. Since I didn't have much cards that would improve creature stats, cyclops double attack specialty just wasn't valuable enough to offset the stat loss.
However, now that i'm playing fortune heavy deck (mostly because i haven't gotten my spell cards and hero yet) - the cyclops can surely pull their weight. Once you beef them up, that double attack becomes extremely potent.
Crusher is a weird beast. While i liked the card i always seemed to do better with sheer tainted orcs. Keep in mind that even with 50% damage resistance, crushers effective health is barely 8-12 against magic, while it is a low 4 against physical damage.
4th creature that costs 4 is Striking Fury, which i found quite versatily, and actually included a few in my magic heavy deck.
So overall my preferences are:
magic deck - tainted orc with maybe couple striking furies
fortune deck - mixture of both tainted orc and cyclops
Just my 2 cents. Better players might go with different choices.

Tainted Orc wins imo, I tend to take way too much retaliation damage with Cyclops Brawler.
I've considered Crushers because of their Enraged bonus + magic resistance but like ya said Yasmiel... their durability just ain't on par with Tainted Orcs.
Goddamn Mass Regeneration is awesome. I played this card against a Haven user the other day and I was like "YEAAAAH DOESN'T FEEL THAT NICE DOES IT?!" while my orcs shrugged off his pity damage and completely overpowered everything he threw at me.
EDIT:
It's nice how eh... HoMM this game feels. For a card game they've really managed to make positioning very important. I also like how the resources keep adding up... gives a really natural progression between early and late game.

I Must say I'm more on the Cyclopse's side.
Stronghold has loots of attack boosts and he doubles the effect of all of them. It is not a problem to do up to 8-12 damage with only two fortune cards.
While the Tainted orc is a great unit in general, he lacks this power to kill the enemy in a single hit.
And as for the Crusher, once in the closed beta, I encounterd a very nice deck based on Immolation, the spell the does one damage every tome each player starts his turn. Thanks to his Ressistance the Crusher got no damage, but each turn all other units got 2. That player combined Moonsilk spiders, Crushers and Wyvern riders. It was an instant kill for all creatures
The also works great with Earth spells like Earthquacke and Wasp swarm. Both do only 1 damage to him, but full to everybody else. You just use all attacks of your other creatures then these two spells, kill both the enemy and your army but boost the rage of your Crusher who does full damage to the enemy. He has good potential, and I can see his place in such spell decks.
And btw I left the Fury out for a reason. She is a Flyer, not melee.

Do you have the problem, that when you start the luncher, the update proces does not start, stays at 0% and the play button is grayed out?
If yes, I have this too. It happens every time I shut the lancher down, and the only thing that helps is to uninstal the luncher, manually delete all game files and then download the game again. For these reason my luncher is active for 3 days straight now. Wonder if it has something to do with windows 7 I use.

My launcher also had that update problem but all I have to do is launch it with administrator.
EDIT:
I fricking hate the hero packs.
I have like 2 duplicates of the necromancer starting hero. This pisses me off because I know that even if a trading option is enabled this hero will be worth absolutely nothing due to its starting nature.

I don't know, I lean towards cyclops brawlers. Retaliation damage is no doubt annoying but they have the advantage of being able to kill a unit AND attack enemy hero. I also like how +att boosts are effectively doubled. Personally I use both cycloples and tainted orcs in my deck.

That kinda sucks.
If we assume there's going to be more cards, we just lost our chance to get them.

I think Sanctuary will be like Stronghold. not available from the begining. I made my stronghold deck from cards from my first multipack and managed to get a 15k gold rewared from yesturdays turnament, And I do not use many Rare cards in it
(ok 3x Pao Deathseekre, 1x Dark Assasin, 1x Blood caller, 1x Panther Warrior and 1x Mass regeneration)
Do not have better cards yet.

Alright, time for another session.
Managed to hit 600 ELO.
Also regarding the ratings, they seem to be split into brackets of 500, and once you reach 2nd bracket 501-1000 it seems impossible (or at least very hard) to go below again. I had 2 games losing streak at 501 without going under.

Anyone else annoyed at the draw feature?
You got a nice win streak going on only to have someone leave on the first turn and end the game in a draw, killing your streak.

God I have like everything I need for my Kelthor Stronghold except Kelthor himself.
