When my necromancy gauge reaches Necromancy 2 it goes into cooldown and won't come off until I reach Necromancy 3. However, if I turn on autocombat, the AI uses it normally. This was in the Necropolis campaign, haven't played anything else yet.

This freezing happened to me too especially now with Danse Macabre.
What I have done to solve this is turn down my resolution from 1920x1080 to 1280x720, seems like everything is running smooth now. Bad thing is the graphics are a little blurry but better than the annoying freezing...
Don't know why this is because:
- I have a GeForce GTX 250
- It never froze with patch 1.5.2 and prior

EDIT: Okay, it seems like my pc only freezes with map 1. Now playing map 2 and gone back to 1920x1080 and everything is running smooth. Hmmm.

Problem:  too much micromanagment with heroes to gain speed on map.

As the game is constructed heroes without units on them move a LOT faster then those with units. Removing units from hero adds extra moves to him(instantly). As it is for competetive MP one has do a lot of exchanges beetween heroes to gain the extra movement on main hero. Example - Main hero without units comes close to neutral army side hero gives him army fight takes place now again we want to move main hero so we give units to side hero and move along the map to next fight and so on the schema repeats.

This is tiresome requires a lot of clicks but gives a lot of map movement so my proposal to fix is to make it so that hero speed is always the same with or without creatures.

BTW In h3 the speed was calculated before the turn started so at the end of turn you removed all your slow units to side hero to make the main go faster next turn. This was strange too but at least it was less micromanagment and clicks.

posted the list into another thread. hope i'm not spamming, but i really hope  gets noticed.

-the combat sound still gets affected by combat speed. the normal combat sound is when combat speed is set to zero which is too low. also some visualizations do not follow up the combat speed(showing damage before effect that caused it).
-wanizame's blood frenzy does not work.
-tactics during sieges is broken (cannot rearrange large creatures).
-implement the new content into the campaigns(new artifacts, new buildings, new heroes in taverns, new heroes used by the AI).
-implement the new portraits in hero creation(both in dynasty hero creation and in the custom hero creation in the campaigns).
-make the AI use the dive skill for imperial griffins and the shaman special skills.
-still cleave does not grant an extra action when achived in counter attacking.
-make a sub menu for the heroes we have purchased categorizing them by faction in the dynasty menu.
-the crubicle of chaos does not work as described, it works like normal market. Fix or change of the description recommended.
-if a secondary hero has artifacts on him/her while finishing a campaign map, the effects from those items carry on to the next map. you have to unequip them in order for the hero to not have extra  bonuses from before.
-make the percentage of "Focus Magic" of the Staff of Asha's Eightfold to scale with hero level if possible. with the highest of 60%.
-breeder mothers do not need the mobile shooter attribute. they have proliferation (like free reinforcemets). you can give them full range though.
-make the fireball area of damage back to 3x3. the current size is too big and makes firestorm obsolete. the latter does less damage for almost the same size area now.
-blizzard cannot be casted if there is an obsticle in the area and it cannot be casted in the same area as before.
-revert the serpahs and celestials abilities to normal. talking about blade of mercy and blade of epiphany.
-balance the stronghold faction racial ability. swap +1 counter attack to bloodrage II and +10 might attack at bloodrage III.
-the pit fiends can be affected by puppet master although their description says otherwise.
-the mizu kamis and spring spirits do not have the water strike.
-the shirne of chivalry and the shrine of the frozen pearl give their bonuses for one battle. in the description its says that the shrines give bonus for one week.
-web altar of wishes fails to load. and the new dynasty weapons do not display on the soulforge.

New bug since 1.7.1 : I can't choose random faction (or hero).I can choose this only for CPU players.Please fix this.

-Apparently, using 'Sharp Arrows', a Marksman can shoot even if blocked.

If one moves close enough to Ravagers to trigger Taunting presence, but gets morale that turn, it can still attack other units on the action granted by morale.

OK, I got this again!!!
The game loses artifacts, and more exactly, artifacts slot lines, thus you can't access some of your artifacts.
This is when playing the Campaign, but I assume it may happen in Single and Multiplayer too.
The problem is this:
1) You have a hero with many artifacts and some scrolls.
2) Give most of them to another hero, leaving empty sections/lines.
3) Then close the Hero trading screen.
RESULT: Some artifacts lines can not be scrolled to, so the artifacts in those lines/slots and below them appear to be LOST, although they are in fact there.
EXPECTED: If there are more artifacts in more lines, you should be able to scroll down and see ALL, and not just SOME.

This annoys me very much, as these are SET artifacts I am losing.

I do not have POTSS or DM, and I still get these town screen freezes.
I get them with Haven 3 and Necro 4 missions. May be all missions, not sure. Using Windows 7 64-bit SP1, NVidia GeForce GTX 670 videocard (2 GB videoRAM) + latest NVidia GeForce Stable/WQHL drivers.

shooting towers bug (all versions through 1.7.1)

During siege my shooting towers can shoot to enemies which I have neutralize with with the blind or serenity spells.

* Random spells get disabled from secondary hero's Spell Book. For me, it was in Necro Campaign Mission 4 and the disabled spell was "Storm Arrows". It happened just after fighting an Arena battle in auto-mode. I switched to manual for the last 3-4 moves. (It could have been 1-2 battles before that Arena battle, not sure). My main hero was Magic Blood, my 2nd in command (who got this problem) was Might Tears.

Expected: No spells to be disabled, ever.

during the week were u get double wood and stone income heroes with + 1 wood production gets double but the ones who have +1 stone dosnt
