P.S. guys need your help to clarify some points
1)should i include other Ashan creatures?
(Dark Messiah/Clash of Heroes/Duel of Champions/Heroes Kingdoms/Heroes Online)
OR stick to HoMM?
2)should i make a group "creatures that never made it to Ashan"
and include previous HoMM creatures (HoMM1/2/3/4)?
3)will need help to clarify whether creatures are in right group of evolution..
for now starting from Haven
later will move on to other factions..

These are creatures of Heroes!!
Point one: Not All heroes games are from ashan
Point two: Not only Heroes games are from ashan
If you want to make a graphical list of Ashan cratures pleas use the fallowing games and their expansions
Heroes V
Heroes VI
Dark Messiah
Clash of Heroes
Duel of Champions.
You could also use Heroes kingdoms but that game uses only imges from Heroes V and VI

I wanted to show creatures evolution..
The ones that made it into Ashan from Enroth and Axeoth..
will specify it in the post!
As for Duel of Champions, will add them when the game is out!
Regarding Dark Messiah creatures, will add them in near future..

Settle Dave, settle. A better title would have been "An Evolution of HOMM Creatures," but that is easily fixed if you ask a mod to fix it for you. About your pikeman question, Sentinels are just the evolution of spearmen, so they <i>can</i> be put together.
On the whole, I find that I like the art of H6, as it is fancy. One notable exception to this rule is the angel. Because I ruv mah H5 angels...

I am going to post artworks for better representation
will take time though, as need to lurk for more then i have at the moment!

also i will not post creatures who didn't make it to Ashan
example Ogre, Behemoth etc.

Trying to be picky here :
I think that Sentinels should be in the same group as Swordmen/Squires. They do use the same weapon (swords). While Pikemen use, well, pike.

I still think adding all MaM creatures would be bad. Either stay only in the dimension of Heroes (That means No Coh, DM, DoCh etc). Or stay onlyon Ashan.
@Avirosb I would leave Heroes online out of this, as well as i would leav out heroes kingdoms. But it is true that Online has some very nice artworks

In HoMM2 the warlock had 3 dragons: green/red/black.

Still part of the Black Dragon evolution in Heroes 2.
Just one thing, why start at H6 and work back to H1, wouldn't it be better to start at H1 and work forward to H6?

It would actually be much harder then this. This page only shows the progres of each creature only by its current setting
But it does not for exaple take in care the shifts between factions. Like that Centaur was originaly a warlock creature. That the Dragons have splited into two branches in heroes III etc.
And also it takes the names as the basis The wraight and Wight from heroes III were more part of the Ghost evolution only with different names rather then the beginning of Wrights we know from Heroes V.
also I would like to know an opinions
Shouldn't Shama and dream walker and Vestal and Priests be the same evolution branches? Sswell as Cheiftain and aguar warrior?
All these units basicly represent the same part of the faction Spellcaster/big warrior.
And Also. I think the Crusader from HoMaM IV would fit into the squire branch rather then the squire himself, He was a new unit imho in that game.

Ya, it gets somewhat complicated when
H2 Druid -> H3 Monk -> H4 Monk -> H5 Warhammer Priest -> H6 Nun
And I don't care what other people say,
the Corall Priestess is totally a medusa, only with a funky name.

Lets list then "arguable" creatures..
If there are valid points to change them, i will..
for me personally..
(will start from Haven)
No doubt - Peasant/Crossbowman/Griffin/RadiantGlory/Cavalier/Angel
the rest will explain
Squire and Sentinel
i divided them by simple principal
1)one is a warrior with a pike
2)other is a warrior with sword
had doubts of including Crusader from HoMM4 or the Squire HoMM4
but i think Crusader is a successor of Paladin from HoMM1/2
plus he has many buffs against undead
Priest and Vestal
here i divided them as well because
Vestal is clearly a healer
while Priest is more offensive, and its ranged unit
if you disagree please explain why..
