You can recruit non-elemental neutral creatures in it. Right now only Timber wolf, Dire wolf and Mermaid.

Perhaps they should have thought of adding more neutrals to the game before throwing in such a stupid structure.

What's that WoX anniversary map? It is that supposed "Heroes 6 Gold exclusive succession wars" map?

WoX=World of Xeen. the setting of Might and Magic IV and V. The succession wars scenario is limited only to the Gold edition, but a multiplayer vesion of the map is free to use for everybody

You hold your breath right there Omega.. A building that alowes me to use Mermaids is in no aspect stupid. Also the neutral dwelling introduced in 1,5 and 1.6-7 are imho much better the the original dwelling system.
The only downfall of the structure is, that you can not higher Pheonixes in it. Which are now only accesable via the Shantiry moon disk artifact

I take it there's no way of unlocking the Succession Wars scenario version map from the file editor?

Kind of a dick move for those that bought the game early.

No, it's scenario map in DM DLC called "A Tale of Two Guardians". It's also available in patch 1.7 as multiplayer map but without story and map heroes (however you can buy Corak, Sheltem and Lord Xeen from Altar of Wishes).

Wait for another DLC and maybe we get them eventually.

From nowon.. I think a 1DLC=1new neutral would be better.. but that is just a dream

Having finished the main campaign, I can only say that I found it brilliant. Marzhin portrayed the character as faithfully as possible with nice subtle references to the shadow of death and the voice acting added a lot to it. The storyline starts as one might expect, with Sandro scheming to regain power to further his own private ambitions and it gets more and more interesting until the ending blows your mind. Certainly did mine

I like how the map design, it had a good element of exploration. It is not easy to tell where you might find a town, whether a path will lead you to riches or to an enemy and I often had to backtrack to catch up with an incoming enemy hero when I was off exploring. The forts are strategically placed, in a position where it matters to control them but they are also within reach of the enemy. But you do not feel hard pressed, with the absolute need to do something, you can relax, explore, go about your job and take objectives at your own leisure. I liked that feeling, it was good for a first map. The maps feature many beautiful new combat arenas which feel like a breath of fresh air. The pet raven has a subtle presence and is actually useful, in that it can reveal part of the map once per week. It looks and moves better than the mini thunderbird which I had found a bit.. ridiculous. And the map aesthetics? Only thing I can say is that you are in for a real treat by the end of the game, that was some jaw dropping design. The Shantiri ruins look great. The boss was fun and I liked how once again you fight with a predetermined army that won't let the battle end in overkill. I didn't find it particularly challenging though. Oh and one more thing: By the end of the second mission you will have plenty of dynasty seals to buy most of the things you wanted but could not buy from altar of wishes

I have one complaint though, I expected the enemy heroes to increase level and army as time passed. It felt like swatting flies, I missed that feeling of urgency that you got in the 3rd Sandor mission. In the second mission they do get more intrusive but you never really feel threatened, they seem more focused on capturing a key fort than fighting you and that was on hard AI. They rarely came after my town. Even Marikh that comes after you.. actually he doesn't. He stays put in his lands which I found disappointing.

After that twist in the end I am intrigued.. I really wonder what is in store for the future, that move opens up so many possibilities After all those misunderstood or grey kind of villains, I had missed an irredeemable Machiavellian hero with his own agenda. Sandro doesn't care about religion. He is not above deception or defiling temples. He doesn't care about saving the world. He is his own man lich and I respect him for that. Unlike Crag's campaign, the humour is of a darker nature

Because there are.

And I don't like ending. It retcons Markal's motives from CoH, which were logical, now we have another schemic necromancer instead of pragmatic one.

I think Elvin is refering to the Third Mission in Shadow of Death, rather than a third mission in Danse Macabre. Though I'd love to see the DLC campaigns continued in the future.

Overall I have the same feelings about Danse Macabre as Elvin, with the exception that I found the boss rather more challenging than he. And I found, despite them staying the same level, the heroes coming for me rather challenging in the first map, second not so much.

Well, no surprise here, that's what AI does in Heroes 6: being plain stupid and uncompetitive (it's hard to imagine how it would fight without all those handicaps and cheats like doubled unit growth etc). I'm afraid AI will never be fixed in this game...

indeed. instead of the AI leveling up and following a normal progress, the devs found easier for the AI to be the same but with handicaps and cheats. lazy/rushed much?

I meant 3rd Sandor mission, where naga heroes of increasing army and level strength arrive through a whirlpool and go straight for your town.

Meanwhile I started it as tears this time(I know, heresy) and I noticed that you are given your reputation quest as soon as you hit 250 reputation points, in this case tears. I was curious because I didn't remember seeing a tears mission in my first playthrough.

This time I went straight for my enemy's town and good lord, I managed to take him out week 2! Then I managed to take down the hourglass's guards(7 celestials, 40 sun riders and how many praetorians) on week 4 at which point things get considerably easier. You already have 30 vampires from defeating Giovanni and now the quest gives you 24 liches! Surprisingly I was attacked by an insane Ducal Guard army shortly thereafter, I wonder if completing the quest had something to do with that.

Also I heartily recommend that you set guards on strong, game may seem too easy otherwise. In the original H6 campaigns strong guards were annoying and a source of utter boredom but here it is well worth it.

yeap the quests change a little depending your reputation, so your secondary heroes! i always play in such way where i get to have a might hero and magic hero for the campaign. and yes my sandor is always tears because that way i get to have Airini as a sidekick who is a magic hero

100 reputation points.
Both reputation quests in first map for both DLCs need 100 reputation points (so you actually can do them both) and give you 150 Blood/Tears points.
On second map for both DLC your hero must have advanced class to gain reputation quest, so you can do only one of optional quests.

Never played it.

So I finished the campaign as tears and it was just as viable, though you still need mass decay I can now say for sure that lvl 2 reputation is impossible, even as tears. Maybe if there were any stacks that would flee in the second mission but none of them does, even as trivial. This playthrough also shed some light on a few things I wondered about. Had I started as tears I'd have wondered why Merikh was introduced in the intro but never made an appearance just as I was wondered why there was next to no interaction with Lucretia when I played blood. Takes both playthroughs to get the full picture though do not expect major differences, only the reputation quests and corresponding dialogue change.
