Yes, that'd made some sense. Still, they usually post that stuff (upcoming campaign heroes) in the official channels as well, that's why I asked.

From the artwork thread it looks like Sandro is controlling Vein as his little puppet....
Speaking of elementals, in the air elemental timeline, where's the H5 one? Damn that was a cool one!

It's just an artwork, an illustration, nothing more. You have main hero on it, elementals (quest?), and main menace for Spider Cult (Sandro).
These elementals could easy mean that Vein has to use all six elements to channel their power into Mother Namtaru to heal her from Sandro's corruption... or something like that.

Well well 30 bucks for a new campaign with a really annoying main protagonist ... must say a fear for a new installment (from what I've read through the forums it seams its going to be the last addon, if this can be confirmed or denied ...).
Now enough with my personal disgruntle ... hmm the Valkyrie and the dwarf ... look ok from my part and regarding the similarity with the glory well I have to say It would have been more shocking if they weren't using the copy paste small retouch approach but I like they're description and just makes me sad we wont be able to play with them and especially the giant.  .
On a different note if we get the addon will we also get the previous DLC with Sandro because from what I understand there will be a necro campaign that is tide with said DLC.
Seeing that there will be no more Rob and Paul at the helm (although from what they said the were underused in H6, i bet Ubi just put them in to gain some fan approval and mixed a bunch of older soundtracks for the rest) of this new addon are we going to be stuck with pore and generic music like the good awful one from Dans Macabre ... which was an extreme let down considering Jason Graves worked on some major projects and is doing the new Tomb Raider project, but than again he might not do the music
Hopefully Ubi will release some music sample before the game release, because for me music is far more important a factor than graphics in creating a immersion in the game and reason to buy a game/cd so I'm curios.

No.
The Sandro DLC will be ingame, but you won't have access to it unless you buy it (or you have activated at vanilla game). But you won't have access to it just with Shades of Darkness.
At least that's how I understood it.

They did with the 2 DLCs, so I expect them to do the same this time

Point 1: good awful = oxymoron
I think you ment God awful. Which takes me to point two...
Point 2: HERESY!!! The Danse macabre main theme was one of the best songs in all might and magic games and the best music in Heroes VI. (All IMHO of course.) And this even though that heroes VI had real jewels in it such as the MaM VI snow theme.

To point 2 well I could say is a mater of taste but I also i think that the music just doesn't connect I don't fell is saying anything is just a mash of pretty sounds well orchestrated that turns in a mockery of carousel song/ballroom music.
by the way i think is was done better in this movie

if you listen to the starting it kind of similar part but It could just be my imagination.
So to close I respect your opinion but for me this music is just a mash up of sound, commercial, well put together I admit that, without any feel and doesn't come close to the music that Rob and Paul created for Heroes.
But as I said mater of taste or just what we look for in a game score, which i think is the reason for Rob and Paul 17 years involvement in the series they hit the right cord and created in a lot of fans the harmony of music and game and i strongly feel Ubi will have a hard time recreating that, than again the have a hard time rising the quality over a older game (H3) in the series.

Like Romero's necro theme? I disliked that one though I grew to like it after town screens were introduced.. I liked the eerie feel of danse macabre and found it fitting though perhaps the last part felt a little disjointed. Perhaps it tried to immitate the original H6 theme? Who knows.
And to be fair, in a partnership a breaking off isn't always the fault of one party, not exclusively anyway. Perhaps you are missing a few things about what really happened, just saying. But end result, this is a sad situation for the series that I hope will be amended in the future..

I find the DM song to be quite good, but I'd not consider "the best of the series"...
I don't think that Paul/Rob left was only fault of Ubisoft, but I'm inclined to think bad about Ubi after all...
I don't think we'll ever know what happened, I simply don't see Rob or Paul doing a 'Derpson' hehe

Anyone else have issues to place the pre-order on the Ubi shop?
I'm getting a bit frustrated with it at the moment. I've tried both Internet Explorer and FireFox, but with both browsers as soon as I click to step 3 of the order (preview of all details), it only presents me with a "server error". Nothing else, no indication of why it messes up.
Now I've got a reasonably tight grip on website scripting and cookies that I allow on my machine, but I've temporarily opened up just about anything that I can see is of relevancy to the website's functioning ... but still, "server error" when I try to get to step 3 of the pre-order process.
Strange enough, when I press CTRL+F5 on that page with the error message, it does show me the info, but as soon as I click to proceed, it gives me an error message about that there's a money authorisation pending, which is not yet accepted. Just for clarity, the CC that I use is still valid and unblocked.
Edit: Unbelievably amateuristic from Ubisoft, but right after posting this, I came across a gem that explained what was wrong. It turned out that my uPlay information was incomplete. Because it lacked my gender, first name and surname (I guess they added them at some later date than that I made the account?) while they were mandatory fields, the purchase got bounced! Idiots.
Well, cleared my browsers' cache after filling out the missing details, and then it passed through ...
