Arkham Horror - 2nd Season OoC
The first season of Arkham Horror is drawing to a close. Now is the time to discuss season two of the game and if anybody would be interested in joining up with the game.
If you are new to the game, I refer you to the first OoC page for more information about the game. Essentially, a team of players has to work together to stop a cosmic horror from destroying the world. Currently, our investigators are losing a battle against Azathoth, the Daemon Sultan, from destroying the world.
For a second season, I am looking for four new investigators to join Alkar, Gnomes, Minion, and Geny in their fight against the evil. We don't need exactly eight to play but I would like more participants. In the event people drop out, I assume control of their character.
If you are interested in joining up with the game, post in this thread.
Details on the second season will be coming after the conclusion of the first game.

I've been thinking about it. Some of the later mechanics make the game very difficult. Currently, I'm leaning towards the King in Yellow expansion. Having to face Hastur and the King in Yellow herald would certainly make for an interesting game.
How are we on investigators? Do we want to open the game up to expansion characters? Likewise, do we wish to do the same with Ancient Ones?

Are any of the Ancient Ones in the expansion as god-modded as that last son of a-? I think the King in Yellow expansion and the investigators that go with it would be fine, anyone else?

This is what the King in Yellow expansion adds. It makes the game very difficult. It does not add new investigators.
As to the investigators, I would open up all of the investigators for people to choose from.

I was hoping to draw in some new players but it doesn't look like there is a lot of interest. :\
I've decided on the King in Yellow for the next game. This will make the game more difficult. The terror level will be very important and blights will start affecting Arkham. Additionally, the King in Yellow will be an omnipresent threat, as he heralds the appearance of Hastur, the Unspeakable.
Every investigator will be open to the game. Gates will be very difficult to seal this time so clues are more important than ever.
There is a silver-lining. If you can keep the terror level down, Hastur is quite easy to defeat. Charlie Cain may be a good idea to bring along this time. Hell, I might even call dibs on him. 
Lastly, beware the theater. Should the play get to Act III, that's the end.

Glad to hear you are on board. Unfortunately, we got curb-stomped last game, so we are starting a new game.
For the new one, I'm opening up all the investigators.
I'm pondering adding injuries and personal stories. What do you guys think?

I may take the role of Bob Jenkins, George Barnaby (for obvious reasons), Zoey Samaras, or Charlie Kane. I'll pick my character last, so you guys have dibs.
