Poll Question:
Academy or Sylvan for second expansion?
Judging by a rocky release of the first expansion, I personally think SoD will be the last one as well.
But, if by some wondorous spell, second expansion would see the light, which race do you think it will contain? Lets admit it probably won't be dwarves, as they are not very popular and they don't play any role in a time of heroes 6. So, will ot be the Academy? Few concepts already exist, and Seven Cities are prominent faction during these times. They would probablyake everything right and save everyone again . Furthermore, Academy was originally planned as the sixth race.
Sylvan.. I'd love to see them as well, but the best opportunity to introduce them was together with dark rlves in SoD. Sadly, this opportunity was missed. There are almost no concept atts featuring sylvan, except for what could be their town screen in a story trailer.
So please vote and just write what you think on this subject..

Well, if SoD sells well, there is still a small tine chance of a second one. If that happens what race do you think will be part of it?

One can dream, but it would have to sell EXTREMELY well to make a 2nd expansion possible. If you check the rankings, it's obvious that H6 wasn't very succesfull in keeping its player interested ... the DLCs were even worse.
It would probably be more interesting for them (and for us) if they restarted from scratch (H7) and if this time, they included both Academy and Sylvan from the beginning

I dont know... I love the game, its my favourite game of all time, i love graphics, animations, spwlla, gameplay.. Id rather they add to it then do H7 and screw up even more.. Whose desicion was it to add sanctuary and stronghold instead of academy and sylvan?!
How do I check the rankings?
Ubi will probably move to this Heroes Online thing..(btw what factions are going to be in?)

Haven and Necropolis at the start... at least that was the plan, when Heroes Online had Q4 2012 release date. As it was delayed, maybe we get more... but it is only my guessing.
As for the this poll - none second expansion at all.

I sure read somewhere that Inferno will be there as well(HO)
Anyway it saddens me to see you all believing in no second expansion, I remember about a year ago noone believed in any expansion, dlc or even townscreens! So..

If there will be another expansion then it will probably be Academy so I voted that but I wish it would be Sylvan as it is the faction I miss the most.

Academy, of course. Concept arts are done (we have already seen all the creatures of the faction). And it will oppose Stronghold.
Sylvan is quite similar to Sanctuary. Even in magic. Air, Earth, Water, Light and Prime for both.

We even saw the Academy listed on the Alpha/Beta map editor

I was okay with the lack of factions in the regular game, because I assumed expansions would have Academy, Sylvan, etc... but wow. None at all? God almighty.

Dwarves and dark elves have been fighting for the undergrounds for ages when H5 comes 'round, pretty sure they could still come in the picture in an eventual expansion now that the dark elves are in.

This game is not done untrill Academy and Sylvan are in along wwith further fleshening out the game maybe alternative upgrades . Some xtra neutral more adventure map buildings and one can dream
All of the resources back...
Better make this game then to start a buggy anew.

I have just started seriously playing Sanctuary campaign, and realised just how similar this faction is to Sylvan!
It really is like an Asian-themed water-aligned Sylvan. And I'm starting to like it! So that probably means no chance of Sylvan as they are just too similar.
(now the only faction I dont like is Stronghold)

On the other hand sylvan would have a few changes too But yes the gameplay is very similar.

Yeah it would be most likely academy.
Academy was always a fan favourite and it is the classic magic faction,opposing stronghold the classic might faction.
The heroes compendium had a lot of artworks that would fit into h6 and it had more academy art works than any other faction not in the game(at least from what I've seen,I may be wrong on this).
Not to mention that sylvan would overlap with other factions to some extent as we've got already a luck based faction(inferno) and sanctuary is also a little bit similar to sylvan.

I vote for Academy too! for me dungeon and academy are like haven and necropolis indispensable in a heroes game.
For me the most boring faction the dwarves, as neutrals why not but not as faction please!
For me if they add Academy the game will be complete in term of number of factions.

Orc were boring in Heroes 4 and Heroes 5 because there was only a single way of playing!
I think in heroes 6 with the skillwheel system you can try many different build, but i haven't play Orc yet so maybe i'm wrong.
