Anything adding skill randomness is of great interest Just to be Clear: Enlightenment etc, when you say banned it is not "greyed out" as option, it is just banned as a general map rule? I Guess the latter, just want to double check, since i was able to Select it in single player. Well done natalka!

yes...I wasn`t able to ban it completely with a script. Try to follow this rule because the map was designed at that leveling speed else you will ruin it.

Ok skill randomness..I agree. Unlike previous heroes installments you can take +def, attack ..etc skills from witch hut and you won`t waste a skill tree. Won`t that be too much.. I mean overpowered? Now as I think about it only "luck" is +3 bonus, the others give +1..

Those of you that have played help me on the number of witch huts you want to see on the map

EDIT: I found a very interesting script that modifies XP gain. So now I can make the map harder and you won`t level up like crazy. I think I will decrease Xp by 25 %.

Now it will be harder to level up level 15 before third battle site

I think the map is good as it is right now. Let more ppl play it and express their oppinion, then you can do whatever you wish!

I have one question, first time i got into week 3 here. The windmills and the tombstones doesnt seem to be active objects to me. Do they do anything? Do i get something from the windmill? Its not saying anywhere. And the tombstone object seems "dead" (pun not intended )

Anyway, great fun, i wish i could play it online at some stage, but seems like it will be too time consuming. Now i play haven, and that seems to work out decently

yes you get something when you interact with the signpost. Make sure you have 1.12 though cause before it didn`t work properly. As for the tombstone go near it and a major artifact will appear "inside". I couldn`t make them active real map objects because modding is not yet developed.

This weekend I will publish a fix for version 1.12 because we found out that elemental stockpile doesn`t give crystals sometimes. Moreover the new version will contain texts when you approach near tombstone, war academy( attack and defence attribute dwells), windmills etc.

It will be easier for new players to get arround on the map

heroes version play with 2.1.1 but map version should be 1.12 - also you can see map version on loading screen and when u create a new game.

Tell me what do u think about those texts that appear when u approach a battle site. Problem is actual rewards can`t be shown if it is wood/ore because ubisoft.... That`s why elemental stockpile, wood & ore dwelling show only gold.

EDIT: we tested the script about XP modifying and made it work. I will decrease XP gain by 18% before level 15 and by 35% after level 15. I hate it when your hero levels up so fast after level 15 when u fight stronger and stronger guards.

Don`t worry we will first test it and this change along with witch huts will be in version 1.13. Fred I`m awaiting your advice about huts..

Also let`s make the utopia interesting ! I will modify XP when entering and exiting so we can make a fight vs hundreds of dragons without ruining anything...
Suggest something - why not 30 of each or more. I can`t modify terrain and you should already know that it is easier with such a big battlefield.

After i updated game i managed to find some artifacts in the tombstones. Not sure what i mean with huts - but of course it would be a lot of fun to get a random skill if that is possible. There are so many skills that i never pick, due to this COMPLETELY LAME skill system (i just had to get it out, again), so to get a random storm arrow etc would make us use something else for a change. Would be a lot fun, but it may be that i have misunderstood the idea.

Anyway, it is a bit hard to see what happens in the start, now i understand that i have to rely on the text, and not on the ubigenerated explanations. But easy to miss artifacts within tombs, or joiners that pop up ontop of ruins etc. Anything to make these things clearer are good.

Now i encountered something weird. I try player 2, downloaded 1.12, and after going through the two way monolith i find that, except from central area, the mines etc, nothing else is guarded... So my secondary can fetch chests, visit tombstones etc. Is this a bug on the map or just some crazy local thing?

Ok. It has happened to me as well. If u go fast through the portal you won`t give time to the randomizer script and the integers will not get their values. This will result in missing battle sites ...or everything is missing wow u are too fast
Maybe I am playing too slow and it happened very rarely to me (1 or 2 times for many games). But take your time to plan first turns then go to monolith.

EDIT: map updated ! Dl if u want helping texts. Also Dungeon Cavern is redesigned. Maximum is 105 facless puppeteer and 120 chakram dancers

isn't it possible that you generate the random values before the starting of the map (in the "on game start" section ) ?

Don't forget that it's possible to transfer a script ftom one section to another : mouse grab, and drag and drop in the other section.

Fred, I hope this bug didn`t occur again. I will fix it in next version. When I try to reproduce it - it never happens to me..very strange..though I will use Thanatoeil advice about the values.

Natalka,
another solution, if you don't want to make big changes to your map (for this radomizer scripts) :
use the "Scenario_StopMove" trigger. Theorically, it will stop the hero entering the location ; and the script will have time to calculate the random values.

I think it is better to move those scripts with drag & drop to "on game start".

I didn`t know these execute when the game is loading..?

I know that one of your goals with this map is to reproduce some features present in older Heroes games (like Heroes III).

Natalka, me and Diegis are currently in a game, we played lots of hours in the weekend, and i guess we are in week 3. Great fun, and some extremely long turns. I think I had one 1 hour + turn at least. But with patience and other things to do while playing its so much fun. I guess one game can take weeks on this map. I am Haven and he is Necromancer. I played a very poor week two, but know i am getting better.

Anyway, my point was, i found a smaaaall bug as player 2 that i forgot to mention. You can access the one stack of joiners without taking the elite guards, close to castle. I just by accident found out when i misclicked the elites when i was to attack them.

aaah... this was the bug I forgot to fix. I know about it but forgot

Thank you for discovering new bugs. I found a bug where because the battle site "moved" one tile off place you couldn`t go from one direction to it but you had to take a longer path around some plants. Thanatoeil, maybe a solution?

We have 1 hour turns too in week 2. If u clear 2 battle sites and 3-4 other guards in 1 turn this is how it happens usually I hope you are having fun though. Soon we will finish our game and I will include thieves guild, witch huts in new version along with -18% EXP

EDIT: I found a way to check if u leveled up enlightment on main hero!

Of course, it can be edited the way you describe.

And for 2P map, you can even do somehow different : instead of using several screens for different reports, you can use the 7 stacks of the guild master's army to show 7 values of the enemy player.
For example :
- stack 1 : number of towns
- stack 2 : number of forts
- stack 3 : amount of gold
- stack 4 : amount of wood & ore
- stack 5 : amount of crystal
- stack 6 : power of main hero's army
- stack 7 : number of artifacts (main hero)
