Celestial Heavens Q&A II on Shades of Darkness

Use this thread to discuss about this Q&A

The questions were:
1. The H6 expansion and patch 2.1 were eagerly antipicated by the fans, but the actual release of Shades of Darkness and the patch was a disaster ... Why? Why did all these problems happen - was it Uplay, bad code, servers ... what?
2. I'd love to talk about the contents of SoD (and we'll get to that in a minute), but whatever quality the actual game contains has so far been marred by the poor state of the release; many fans are wondering if you will continue to release more patches to fix the remaining bugs - what are your plans on that? Do you have a timeframe in mind or are you just sort of improvising?
3. Some fans are complaining about the lack of balance and a weak AI in the SoD expansion. Is that something you can work on?
4. So to some SoD questions ... You chose to do a "stand-alone" expansion. Why?
5. Why Dungeon and not Academy?
6. Are you happy with the amount of stuff SoD adds to the game or would you have liked to add even more?
7. Since you have released a "Complete" version containing all the DLCs, the vanilla game and SoD - will this be the last of H6 or could there be another expansion coming, as many fans are requesting?

The answers are here

Nothing new and worth mentioning imo. The next patch was a given, so aside from that, no new information...

It's kinda funny how they're trying to explain the mess with SoD release. "We wanted to try sth new, for you players!". Yeah right, the game is probably the most bugged-up Heroes game to date, and instead of trying to make any new addition as flawless as possible to make things right, they're "experimenting" to further topple the games, already bad, reputation (I'm speaking about bugs and issues, not the game itself).

What I'm beginning to understand more and more with each passing statement from the devs, is that Ubi is dragging this franchise with as minimal cost as possible. It seems that those guys are struggling with minimal resources to somehow pull it off. They are probably lacking resources and manpower to keep this game healthy. That explains they're go-around way of talking about the game or any news, the long process of bug-fixing, various release issues (not enough people to control various aspects of the game) etc.

I wonder when will Ubisoft really give this franchise the interest (if any) it really deserves...

"no new content can be expected at this stage"

That's it folks, Heroes VII to be announced at E3.
Calling it.

ALSO, I think that they should re-sell this franchise to someone that actually would KNOW what to do with it, since not much good was happening since Ubi got it.
(but EA would make it even worse...)

For some reason I feel like they should reactivate NWC for all I care.

This game's weakpoint is not poor quality. It was done good. Problem is in a couple of studios changed throught developing process. AAA game is really imposible burden for chineese studio, specialising on facebook games IMO.
