Creature population label
Hello. I have H3 complete with HD mod. I've seen on heroes3tv.ru players that can see the numbers(i.e.1-4) above neutral monsters instead of "few, lots etc". I don't know russian to ask them what is the file they are using and how to get it. Its a lot faster then checking the list to see how many the monster could be. Thx. Ps:they also have on the "status bar" ingame the music they are listening

The "population count" is introduced by the "Horn of the Abyss" Addon.
Don't know about that music bar.

Ty. I thought it could be some .txt file, like the ones to set zombies battle movement speed to fast, or to put crypts on lava and so on,that type of setting. I'll give that addon a try as soon as i get home, hope its not in russian, and that i can play normal heroes3 with it.

Well, it is in Russian. It's not an issue in case you are familiat with the game though. Possibly an English version will be released by the end of June/July.

It is doable for every H3 version: extract ARRAYTXT.TXT from H3bitmap.lod, open with text edit (not notepad!), search for the appropriate terms (few, several, pack) and replace them with 1-4, 5-10 etc, I don't remember the exact quantities. Put it back in lod, you are done.

Of course, Visions spell and Rogues become quite pointless when you do that. Except they still tell you if the creatures will join.

Not quite, visions tells the exact number while this change only gives a range (quite large with big mobs). It is a simple translation:
Few: 1-4
Several: 5-9
Pack: 10-19
Lots: 20-49
Horde: 50-99
Throng: 100-249
Swarm: 250-499
Zounds: 500-999
Legion: 1000 +

Oh, I thought it was the modification that gives you the exact numbers, the one we've discussed in HotA thread. Careless reading...

I think you can leave it in data folder, just test and will see. Make a backup before modifying it, if it is your first time you will screw it for sure.

The same with movement buildings for example.
There is some file which contains all the data told in the brackets (e.g. Oasis (Increases movement points and morale for one day), you can simply change it to something appropiate (Oasis (800 Movement + Morale)...

Monthly Growth
While we are on the subject of creatures, is there a way to edit the monthly creature growth database to include all creatures and not just the ones below:
Wolf Riders
Ogres
Unicorns
Vampires
Liches
Rocs
Stone Gargoyles
Griffins
Centaurs
Pegasi
Gremlins
Gogs
Troglodytes
Harpies

I have had a monster problem for a number of years and different installs. I have searched the forum but not found a similar problem.
(admittedly not every line of text)
I regularly get random monster stacks 4095 in number. When you engage the stack I get a message that the stack is too big and do I want it removed.
If I answer yes, the stack is removed and the game might crash or it might function as normal.
Sometimes I answer no and prepare to fight the stack and it will surrender. Sometimes play goes on as normal, sometimes the game crashes.
Problem is when AI encounters the stack that mostly the game crashes. It does come about after a few months into the game.
Short of starting the game again is there a fix?
Have been reading this forum on and off for years, great work everybody.

They were placed by the "Week of monsters" script. Best solutions are:
1. upgrade to Era (the problem was solved, I don't know how)
2. not play with the "Week of Monsters"
