Don't kid yourself Forfy, I am here.

Hiding in the darkness.

As for hard work, I've always found that those who work the hardest (genuinely) are not the one's who complain.  My grandfather worked damn hard laying concrete and tarmac on the roads of Britain for over 40 years.  Long nights, strenuous work.  He did it because it gave him a sense of pride that he was providing for his family.  That was what was important to him.

I work with old people, but I would never consider my job hard.  I love it.  Even when I have to muck out the poor dear's who have soiled themselves.  I guess it often comes down to pride in your work and whether you enjoy your job.

If you have neither, then yes, even the simplest of jobs is going to be hard.

Smithey, why do I remember you mentioning that you live in New York?

Edit: Looks like Smithey's quite the traveler and originally from the Balkans.  There are so many people from the Balkans here, it's a mystery. Somebody who knows nthing about world geography would think they have the population of China when looking at this site.

the problem with today's youth is one. they want a snowload of money without any work.

yeah, but maybe it's not that unreasonable, because all our wealth wasn't only created by our current work (even though that's what they want us to believe, with their PIB/GDP, which actually doesn't even measure the REAL wealth created in a year. for economists and politicians, it seems that when the growth of the GDP slows down, it means we are getting poorer... but in economic terms, our wealth is always increasing)
a lot of wealth has been created by past workers, who are now dead, and a lot of wealth is created by nature itself, without any need to work.
also, we're probably actually creating more wastes than wealth through our works.
