NOT cursing Academy Cities in Markal's 3rd Mission
Hi guys, I'm currently playing campaign in Heroic 2nd time around. And might I say, it's a lot easier and more fun.
Anyway, I'm now conquering the Academy towns in the 3rd mission. I have the Isabel-mentored Rutger conquer the west while Markal is conquering the east.
So my question is, if I do NOT curse these Academy cities, will it affect Zehir's campaign mission 2? Will none of the Academy cities be Necropolis when it's Zehir's time to play?

I don't think it has any serious impact on the gameplay, other than completing the quest and getting whatever reward it offers. At least none that I can remember and the Zehir campaign is definitely unaffected.
If anything I always found that quest annoying, needlessly prolonging the playthrough.

No idea, but it would be cool.
Something like: "You want to be an evil necromancer? Then pay the price for it in you academy campaign KARMA!
Please tell us when you find out

dang, I needed to curse Ziyad because AI keep spamming Heroes.
Anyway, I've cursed Ziyad but didn't do it to the other 2. Now, we wait. It'll probably take me a month to get to the Academy campaign though.
And also, cursing all 3 cities will make them cursed in the Academy campaign. Let's see if not cursing 2 cities will make them uncursed in Academy campaign.

Dang. I was hoping these cities will remain uncursed by the time I play Zehir. That mission is the only mission wherein we actually play as Academy but even that lacks Academy, you know what I mean?

I liked Zehir but his campaign hardly featured academy. I very much prefered his tote missions, far more interesting gameplay there.

Well, the towns will be necropolies anyway. When I played the campaign the first time I didn't curse Silver Cities cuz I was n00b and I hadn't got enough gold. The cities were cursed in the Zehir's campaign because even if we don't curse them in Markal's campaign, these grounds are taken by necromancers and cursed (sand changed to dirt). That's why the towns will become Necropolies sooner or later.

This seems actually like an improvement to me. All that sand turned into fertile dirt. Now they only have to get rid of the noxious gasses hanging around and the necromancer's curse will be seen as a blessing

Wizards move on sand faster than on dirt Their elephants would crush the burnt grounds and sink into smelly bogs. What's more, wizards would have to make new, warmer clothes. They'd have to rebuild all towns to make houses less Arabic as the climat had changed. Of course if they hadn't already been transformed into Necro towns
