im not sure you are beign sarcastic abaout kawaii stuff.. but i ll answer anyway. a little example from LoTR: you ride deer, but you dont say to it "go and crush your foes" same goes for unicorn, i like and i understand them as mounts, just like we did seen in H5 and the hobbit movie. but i think without a rider, unicorns or deers makes no sense.
All self-respecting Wood Elves can communicate with animals.
Fantasy animals (LotR included) are more intelligent than their real-world counterparts.

@galaadwhat did i do to offend you? dont get offended please i have no bad intentions. i share my point of view which i think, is found valuable by developers.
Then I would thank you for thinking twice before claiming on HoM&M forums Unicorns are ridiculous. It's like those people on mmh7website telling Rob & Paul's for what Elven track was made for. You know nothing Jon Snow !

There are no lineups for Stronghold and Necro so far, we will get them in the "near" future.

Instead discussing how to improve the game or how to get to the common ground (to understand both views and make a better suggestion), this has been transformed into competition and rivalry of egos and Christmas wish-list of spoiled brats who believe that H7 is made just for them and not for the community/other players...

I absolutely abhor the idea of phoenix in Sylvan, but I can understand why people don't like to have dryads as core and treants as champion. Therefore my ideal line-up (based on ubi-creatures) would be Strength with pixies instead of dryads.
Changing unicorns for those deer I can live with, but I prefer the unicorn.

I have better line-up
Core:
Pixie/Sprite Satyr/Faun
Root Snake/Root Python Blade Dancer/War Dancer
Hunter/Master Hunter
Elite:
Druid/Elder Druid
Moon Doe/Sun Deer Lycanthrope
Silver Unicorn/Golden Unicorn Treant/Ancient Treant
Champion:
Treant/Ancient Treant Green Dragon/Emerald Dragon
Phoenix/Greater Phoenix
What do you think about this?

Not enough animals, you might as well just stick Haven in a forest.

Well, knowing you want Badger as core unit for Sylvan, I am not surprised by your statement.

Yes, I do want creatures, Sylvan is about the only faction where they actually fit (Haven-humans, Inferno-demons, Necropolis-undead, Academy-constructs, Fortress-dwarves, Dungeon-underworld creatures, Stronghold-orcs, Sanctuary-Eastern mythology).

@MattII: But this walking tree is sentient. Griffin maybe has animal mind, but it's legendary and magical beast so I don't mind them. Badgers, hedgehogs and squirrels are just forest animals. I want Sylvan for Elves and arcane beasts, not for semicommon animals. BTW Sylvan is connected with Eastern mythology? Are you sure about that?

So are unicorns in case you forgot.

Even when certain semi-common animals could with minimal extra modifications actually fill the required roles?

Well the building style in H3 was distinctly oriental, but I'd actually meant to put down Sanctuary there, not Sylvan.

If you're talking the D&D creature of that name I can half-agree, not the sort of creature I'd necessarily include, but certainly a possibility.

Yes, I did find a lot of references to the Simpson creature, but D&D has so many creatures I figured that one might be real anyway.

Who said I want Unicorns? I don't like them. They're just horses with horns.

They would fit in Sylvan.
