Man sues wife for being too ugly. And wins.
You guys likes to debate things. I got a good one for you all!
Some chinese guy sued his wife because he wondered why their kids were ugly. Turns out his wife had 100 000 $ worth of plastic surgery before they met. Very good plastic surgery I must say! And he won 120 000 $.

Personally I understand his point but I would've just left her, not sue her. Omg poor kids too. Worst dad ever.

Wow what a shallow man. But I want to know what happened to this family after he sued his wife? Have they divorced? What about the kids? I mean he is their father after all. Wow, imagine how they will feel in a few years time.
Mind you I guess its proof that the 'truth will out' eventually lol

I think seeing a racial issue here is reading too much into it. Keep in mind, the original fake story was on a Chinese tabloid for Chinese people themselves to fall.

If anything, I'm accusing myself for racism for having briefly believed this. 
Or will you defend myself from myself, artu?
In all fairness I extended the accusation to everyone else and you can defend the others from that, but would anyone have believed this, if the story claimed it was about a couple from Germany or the UK?
Though, I didn't think there's anything out of whack with their race/ethnicity, just their culture and government.

Didn't evenb check the article but this would seem more like the US, no?
Oh no wait, it would be the woman suing the plastic surgeons who operated on her for not affecting her kids then, right?

Personally, I didn't believe it nor suspected it. I only got interested a little after someone said it was a hoax and I checked. But honestly, if the story took place in UK or Germany, it wouldn't have the slightest difference to me regarding how believable it was. If I had been told the story without being informed of any origin, I'd guess the origin US, since to sue each other for absurd reasons is almost as common as buying a lottery ticket there.

I also think it's worthwhile to notice that typically your good looks quality as young and as an adult can vary quite a lot.
E.g. I was good looking when I was very little, I'd messy hair, but most kids had.
Then I pushed my teeth forward (no one else in the family had this issue), my ears grew faster than my head, I often had a runny nose (again none in the family had this issue), my sight deteriorated so I had to get glasses, I never did anything about my hair so it looked messy, I didn't eat much so I got very very skinny. Most of this took place over a period of ~1 year.
A couple of years later when I hit my teens, hair grew in all the wrong places, I walked oddly, my beard was at that stage where it'd have been better shaven off, I didn't shower so I probably hadn't the nicest odor, especially as I was rather sports active. I was also very short compared to the other kids, even the smaller girls were about my height.
Now I'm rather handsome again, I gained weight, muscles grew, I'm at average height (~head higher than those I was at similar height to back then), my teeth have been straightened, my nose doesn't run often anymore, my ears fits very well with the size of my head, etc.
The same goes for a lot of the other people I went to school with, some went from ugly to beautiful, some went from beautiful to ugly, and it changes quite a lot over the years, but often the change itself happened rapidly. Of course my perspective may be biased.
