I asked about beta but didn't get a straight answer. He ended with 'You'll be the first to know' (talking about the shadow council)
The privileged stuff for the deluxe edition (IMO) will be either:
a. available with the collectors edition
b. The extra stuff will be so dumb it won't matter
But looking at that sister on the battlefield She is huge...a four tile monstrous cleric for healing? looks a bit silly to me.

I believe Erwan said in the interviews that the game release is for very late this year.
I imagine Early Access would start in Summer, we'll see.

Dont see the problem with a company wanting to make money. Either you want the extra content and are willing to pay for it, or not. Simple as that. The whole point of "deluxe editions" and what not, is desirable content for a bit higher price.

which, of course, in Ubisoft speak means we can expect it in Q2 2016 lol

lol, sorry, but on principle it's both asinine and insipid to surgically rip out a map and put it in a special edition,
higher price editions are cool when they restrain themselves to more lavish extras and bonuses like a paper map, figurines, whatever, optional collectors' items Joe Peasant doesn't need, but not when they change the content of the actual game and render other versions literally inferior lol
basically, in a Collector's Edition, they should offer the game OR the game plus extras, not 98% of the game OR 100% of the game plus extras lol

it'd be ok (not really though) if they don't take full price for it since, you know, we don't get the full game.

Its part of the gaming industry, all big companies use this method. Including actual in game content in "deluxe"-editions. Why? Because they make more money that way. They will probably add packs and maps and heroes and artifacts to buy after the game is released. Like most games on steam. And then expansions ofc. Dont see any point getting all worked up about it. Welcome to the future of gaming.

wrong, it's the bloated, mismanaged, sickening AAA publisher cabals, the same ones shoving DRM, microtransactions, on disc DLC and all the rest down everyone's throat, who've dragged down the industry to such a degree that you feel normalised to their shady practices lol

Or its a natural evolution of the industry in regards to the market. Ppl dont buy hard copies in stores any more, want games faster, and can buy theese add ons and stuff easily from their homes with a click of the mouse. It would be stupid not to cash in on this. And probably because ppl download stuff illegaly too. Money always find a way.

I cannot bring myself to stop chuckling after reading this.
Not that I want it to be that way. I don't care anymore given I won't buy it anyway. It's only that it's VERY poor. Obscenely poor as to call it deluxe edition. But I suspect they'll add things as time goes on.

Just because all the big dogs in the industry do it, doesn't mean it's right. By accepting these kind of practices, we'll only give them a message that it's ok for them to rip us off, so they'll just gradually raise the bar, because people allow them to.
Just look at what happened to Evolve, I am really glad that game died so fast.
