Summary thread of active mods?
I am new to the H3 modding scene. I have been playing through the original campaigns but I am now interested in starting to mod my game.
Is there a thread that offers an up to date summary of which mods are currently being developed and which play well with each other.
For example, I am really confused by so many directions I could go: WOG, HotA, Era II, VCMI, etc, and what could be used with what.
I apologize for the post if it is redundant. I have been searching the forums to no avail.

A short summary of my basic knowledge. Bear in mind that I don't play WoG, ERA or VCMI so someone else might be able to give you better details of what they are if they wish. I think this got it covered though.
HotA is a mod which is much like a classical addon to Heroes III which contains a new town, two new campaigns, a couple of new artifacts, balance tweaks and more.
WoG/ERA (sorry, I'm not quite sure of what ERA is exactly) is more like a platform for the game which gives you the freedom to mod a lot of things yourself (you can't add towns though, for example). It also extends the game with lots of scripts and mods that you can see here for example: http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=39062
VCMI is a project that aims to rewrite the game from scratch. It has developed quite far and allows you to mod basically whatever you want (like adding towns and such).

Thank you, this was much more helpful than the other reply.
I am just confused by what ERA and ERA II are and if they allow for interplay with the other mods. I will read the threads about them.
Thanks!
