True, but the H2 Druid essentially became the Zealot in H3 Castle in all but name. So in that sense, I feel the creature did make it through.


Didn't even think about that but you're right and what a great transition that turned out to be. Zealots and there glowing face is my favorite castle unit

I'd say that Dungeon's medusa should really come from earlier medusa rather than from coral priestess.

In the official website of the lore they put that priestesses became dark, and others, practically the model and animation is the same as the priestesses .....

Ah, it looks good now! Still, shouldn't the Thunderbird link be stronghold-colored, since it came from Heroes 4 stronghold?

It seems the new version misses the faded lines that connects the points between a creature disappearing from the game and coming back into the game (i.e. Naga, Druid).

Centaurs, Harpies and Gnolls are Beastmen and Basilisks and Wyverns are Magical Beasts so they clearly aren't Orcs.

However... Goblins  and Cyclops are also creatures of Demon blood and Human body and they are called "degenerated" Orcs and they have Orcs blood in their veins.

And now the cherry on the cake: Warriors, Shamans, Slayers from HoMM5, Maulers, Dreamwalkers, Jaguar Warriors from HoMM6 and Brute from HoMM7 (and also Goblin from Basilisk Rider) - all of them are Orcs.

So maybe not "a whole" Stronghold from Ashan but at least half of their creatures.

enough people have told me that they are unnecessary and confusing ... the circles always find another circle.
