I think that the conjuntion of Windmill and Refugee Camp shows both use the same variable.

It is likely all/many adventure objects with random effects use the same variable from a seed to determine their outcome, so by conjunction you would be able to predict what happens in other parts.

For example, if a windmill gives you 3 crystal, you know refugee camps will have boars (just a possibility), and this would be the same every time, maybe even across games.

Other things that could be predictable by this system are "500 gold or 5 resource" buildings, artifact merchants refills, etc.

No bug! Example of one map has been tuned to only 5 ore in a week. It continued over 10 months. Shining! When it showed also other odds. I don't know mechanics. I know better artifacts. I suspect Homm distributor cares to income. When game changes harder, you can't get a easy. If map is impossible, then Homm gives your willing income. I have noticed. Random is Homm distributor himself.

Yep, you can see this map in HD mod, and HotA when you run HotA through HD mod launcher.

Bug was introduced in HD mod. And is absent in original game.
To see this - just follow my instructions on how to reproduce it.
And then test map in HotA without HD mod (h3hota.exe) and with HD mod - using HD_Launcher.exe.
Also test it in SoD (Heroes3.exe) without HD mod and with HD mod - using HD_Launcher.exe.

As I provided way of reproducing this bug and also HD mod creator confirmed this is bug, I think this is not subject to further discussion. So yes, this is HD mod bug. Without HD mod you will get always random events. I also have some examples where player rolled 18 times Chaos Hydras in Refugee Camp, but map creator said it was against his intentions.

Bug is related to HD mod. So when you use HD Launcher with Complete (SoD) you will also see it.

For a while now I started noticing the same hero in the Tavern for maybe 4 weeks in a row. I thought I was going crazy. It's actually better to know that it's a bug.
