Diablo 1
Hey, I pull out 2 dusty cds. Diablo 1 and Diablo 1: Hellfire.
I installed Diablo 1. I also installed the patch I found on the web(version 1.09b). I wanted to test it before installing Hellfire and the screen graphics look funny. I visited Blizzard Battlenet forum.
Battlenet has a fix, but I can't get the patch. I don't have authorization from server error message. Does anyabody playing Diablo 1 have that patch? I would like to have it.

Does it work on Windows 7 normally or do I have to do a lot of tricks first?

You could try to install one of the most popular mods. not only it makes the game a million times better, but it also fixes the issues with graphics.

Hey, I was surprise. You don't need to change compatibility to run Diablo 1. Just install and run. Just you will see what I was talking about and change Windows doesn't matter. The error is the same.
That is why I want that patch. Because what I was reading the error is still the same under Hellfire, too!

So either way the patch is needed.
I played II and III but not the first, so I want to.

Yeah-up!
I played both Diablo 1 with Hellfire and D2:LOD. But not D3. Which is funny D3 is actually the before D1. Hey, once you get the patch you will like the ending to D1. Because once you see that. The beginning of D2 makes since. But D1 ending is cool. Messed up, but great.

if i remember correctly, you could only play d3 online; which is why i didn't buy it. i won't buy any game that is strictly online, because internet access is never a sure thing.

I Found them.
Hey I found the patches and the video fix.
Diablo 1 patch 1.09b and Hellfire patch 1.01 and the video fix for Windows 7. Anyone here would like to play their Diablo 1 cd with Hellfire send me an e-mail. I will send you an e-mail back with all 3 of the patches.
