Oh I have...they're in my top five for best looking unit so I try to use them whenever I can, only they pretty much suck. Blood rage is flawed when units become useless without blood rage active

Time to refresh your memories on how H7's towns' defenses work.

The term garrison is, now, attributed to the defensive walls of the town or, fort. In other words, you need level 1 fort walls to start generating a permanent, non leaving, base/core creatures; level 2 for generating a permanent, non leaving, base/elite creatures; level 3 + level 7/champion already chosen type of champion creature after the unit dwelling is constructed to generate to a max. of 5.

Now, in H7, there is the in-town army led by the in-town hero(ex-garrison hero and troops of H5 and H6), that in turn, if the walls are not built + no generation of garrison troops are done, yet, then, the in-town hero with troops will auto. kick in as the front-line defense of the ill developed town that is now, in status of siege/being attacked.

The visiting hero and troops have remained the same as the previous editions of Might and Magic Heroes(2,3,4,5,6). Therefore, this hero and troops get to be attacked outside the town + battlefield arena of the games' choice.

The fort has the exact same mechanics with the 2 different and, noticeable differences. First, the visiting in fort hero is automatically sent to the walls of the fort as to act as the captain in charge of the defenses of that fort. Second, it is permanently done that a fort is already at level 3 of HP of durability but, can not generate champion units to help seriously defend this territory's fort. Last point is troubling, the fort can not collect taxes for the lack of a status of being a village and, moreover, does not have a radius of control as to keep the territory's creature dwelling + mines under the control of the fort's owner.

I do miss the single arrow tower to help in early castle fights. It would be nice to have some kind of defense if you don't want to invest in all the fortifications.

But the town defender skill would probably make that imba...

Both me and my friend have played through 2 of the campaigns without any noticeable bugs, and were able to join eachothers multiplayer games without any problems. However, as soon as we interact with the AI's heroes the game crashes.
It seems like this low amount of bugs is extremely unusual?

- If drag and drop creatures from the battlefield to the hero army bar in the deployment phase and then merge a few the same creatures to one stack so the first squares becomes blanked the same amount of next squares with creatures will become blanked for next fights (armies dissapear from the battlefield).











You will see the clean battlefield during next fights if you merge more the same creatures stacks than you have other different stacks.



- Merging stacks is not necessary to meet this bug. You can just drag and drop army from the first square of the hero army bar in the deployment phase to the 7th for example and the next fight you will miss the stack that was in the second square last battle. If there were no stack in the second square then you will miss 2 stacks from 3rd and 4th squares and so on.

Temporary solution: drag and drop any unit on the hero army and inventory screen after the fight you were changing stacks positions on the bar (Edit: or better press Auto Deploy button the next fight).


- Sometimes it is possible to attack a neutral army by left click on it for the second time when a hero has no enough movement to get it in 1 day and stops near of it.







- Red marks (points) on the adventure map don’t become green when a hero wins neutral army.

- The icons of adventure spells hotkeys don’t become inactive after using it. They are also don't become active after visiting the dragon vein and replenishing mana.

- The «Enter» button doesn’t work when splitting armies.

- The split armies slider appears if press Split icon on the hero and inventory screen and then press «H» or «Esc» buttons and press the «H» button again.

- «D» and «W» buttons don’t work with warfare units and other units as centaur marauders for end turn and wait.

- The Split icon doesn’t appear right after drag and drop army from the battlefield to the hero army bar in the deployment phase. It appears only after moving the mouse cursor out of army’s icon and then returning the cursor to it again.

- Idol of Fertility doesn’t work as it used to be. Some weeks it says that it is already used even if it’s not.

- Aali’s (Alchemist) Enlightened Leader skill works right after enlisting even if she’s not a governor.

- If a governor gives an additional creature growth there is no information about it on the right click on this creature’s icon on the recruit new creatures screen. This growth adds to the core growth instead of it.

- The full range attack arrow appears sometimes when moving cursor to an obstacle in Shantiri ruins while warfare unit’s turn. If left click on it the message «Cannot move there!» appears.

- After save/load a game heroes icons change their places from time to time. It is also would be so good if players could change heroes icons places themselves.


Balancing:
- Exp gain should be nerfed because it's too easy to reach lvl 30 on a large map with heroic difficulty after discovering only 1/6 of the map and without any meetings with AI.

- Gnoll hunter's opportunity shot should be nerfed because it's too easy to kill any neutrals with only 6 x 1 fury stacks and 1 gnoll hunter's stack and storm arrows even with heroic difficulty. So you don't need to buy troops at all just a few furies and core growth of gnoll hunters. Sometimes centaur marauders also maybe. If you also have the Outnumbering skill the situation becomes even more easier.

- Warfare units are still so weak even on GM Warfare skill and hero lvl 30. The hero's attack warfare unit could make damage depending on the hero's damage or might. The hero's healing warfare unit could ressurect creatures depending on the hero's arkane knowledge or magic.

sim turns

Okay so there is a bug with sim turns.. I tried playing with my friends just vs AI and 2 out of 2 games got bugged in a way that we got stuck in each other´s combat after like 4weeks.
First try was with spectator mode on 2nd was with off & it doesn´t matter.

+ I would suggest some kind of range check for two friendly heroes so they don´t have to wait for all the combats all game.

+ there vampire from necropolis is also bugged at least with hero specializing in life drain from 50% to 75% right at start of his turn you can see in combat log "vampire lost life drain" and he doesn´t drain at all

Mazhrin, tu es adorable et je te remercie pour le temps que tu nous accordes. Tu n'es pas obligé de le faire mais tu le fais. Mais là, j'en ai RAS LE CUL de Heroes. J'achète toujours la version collector, car trop bonne, trop conne. Putain vos jeux sont injouables. Buggé à tel point que c'est injouable. La je vais recommencer pour la quatrième fois la dernière campaign academy à cause d'un putain de bug qui fait que je ne peux toucher le dernier stack ennemi. j'EN AI MARRE. Je vous défends TOUT LE TEMPS. J'adore cette franchise mais là, vous vous foutez simplement de la gueule du monde. Votre putain de jeu, mais sortez le un an plus tard, je n'en sais rien mais sortez le quand il sera JOUABLE! Maz tu fais beaucoup pour la communauté alors pardon de m'énerver comme ça sur toi mais là c'est sérieusement abusé! Je m'en fous des changements, j'ai adoré Heroes 6. Mais les putains de bugs incessants qui rendent le jeu injouable je n'adore pas et j'en ai MARRE! La franchise est morte car voilà, au delà des petites guéguerres "gnagna Heroes 3 je le worship". Ben worhsip le abruti, c'est pas comme ça qu'on avance, et vous avez amener plein de choses sympas. Les idiots bloqués sur Heroes 3, no comment. Se bloquer sur le passé c'est comme ça qu'on pourri. mais par contre bordel, EST CE QUE LE JEU PEUT ETRE JOUABLE MERDE. Je passe mon temps à vous défendre, les changements je suis pour et je me tais. Ubi is ruining Heroes and I'm pissed, but you are also ruinning it, by your constant whinning, your mind closed on Heroes 3 and refusing to move on. You are killing Heroes as much as Ubi is doing. I hate you guys because I LOVE this game. It's the only game i love so much. And there will never be a 8th Heroes because yes Ubi is doing crap, but also because YOU "so called" big fans, are ruinning it with your constant whinning, never wanting to move on. For Gods sake, Heroes 3, and I adored it, was 20 years ago. MOVE THE F... ON and stop being so  snowy and voicy that you are ruinning the franchise for everyone. Man I'm pissed but I won't regret this message. Ubi is doing s... yes, but you guys are doing too.

but I don´t think ubi is trashing the franchise that much I like some of the ideas esp. skill tree the thing they fail most at is releasing an unfinished game with snow load of bugs :/

I don't think the issue is so much the H3 purists rather than ubi's heroes falling short of expectations. What does get to me is that they made H5 and all they had to do was improve it! I wouldn't like an H5 clone as the original H6 was rumoured to be(though in hindsight and after seeing H6 and H7 I totally would) but there were so many ways to improve the formula while keeping the gameplay fun and avoiding the frustrating parts. Like micromanagement, slow creeping, horrible AI abuses, unimaginable lineups, multi issues and over the top randomness.

for me H7 improved H5 in this way:

1) different final armies depending on town buildings


2) potent secondary heroes - I can have economist, mentor or a chest picker all depending on my tavern draw. So each game is quite different - whether I get economist week 1 or 2, do I make enough chest pickers to loot the map more effectively...etc


3) the above leads to point 3. Every game has totally different build order. In h5 it varied based on resources only and now if I have economist week 1 - one build order, if I don`t get it I build normally but I if I get economist day 1 week 2 - total shift in build order.

Hi guys!

I apologize for my harsh words. And no one was targeted personnaly. Let's make it fast : blabla.... very aweful bad day because of someone, blabla wanted to play Heroes to "cool down", blabla another Heroes bug. I lost my mind. I just had all this anger that needed to get out, I guess. No one was targeted personnaly, THOUGH I still think... Ubisoft.... You're not making me proud of being french and you sometimes are serious ... CENSURED to your customers. Some things are just not right. AND, I do I am sorry but I do believe that some players, no one is targeted personnaly once again, I'm more thinking of the comments I sometimes read on the "shadow council", anyway I do believe that some players... guys, things change. They have to or... it's like a cancer... things rot when you don't add anything new. Give a chance to change. Because sometimes, some old hardcore players... I think you're too much harsh sometimes.

Anyway, I apologize, I'm sorry. God I had a CENSURED aweful day, I wanted to cool down with my favorite game and a bug happened and all the anger just unleashed. I'm sorry. And a huge hug to my favorite person in the Heroes community, who is a sweetheart, I'm so glad I met you. To meeting you in real sometimes =)

There are still annoying bugs when you load the game

- sometimes hero starts with full mana

- if a hero was governor of one town and then another hero takes control of this town and if the game is realoaded the first hero is now governor.

Artifacts Bugs

Anyone had Bugs with artifacts so far? I am on Academy map 4 and I find most my artifacts some be disappearing every time I try to change what I have equip. In fact the quest important artifact has even vanished meaning I can not complete this mission

Hey..All issues with Artifacts (potentially causing crashes, duping, not giving stats when changing them) has been fixed in the next patch. There was a chance that they could change the IP of the artifact which causes all sorts of nonsense. Fail safe has been added now so this can never happen.

Thanks for the constant reports and support with these threads as well. I have used this a lot for the next patch to polish everything and outright fix other stuff.

please fix governor hero bug. It is very frustrating to plan ahead with the economy hero and in the end that hero is not a governor.

yesterday on stream we lost 20 mins trying to fix that.
