Which skills for a town defender? (HOMM3)
Which skills would be good for a town defender?
Offense and Armorer seems logical.
Maybe Archery depending on town.
Probably also Wisdom, unless you defend Stronghold or Fortress or got really bad high level spells.
1 or 2 magic schools, depending on what's in the guild, is probably a good idea.
Intelligence, more maximum mana, restored every day, could be a good idea.
Tactics?, maybe, but I see it more as an offensive skill.
Artillery could be good for controlling arrow towers and getting initiative, but as far as I know it does'nt matter if you have Artillery at basic or expert when defending a town?
What about Eagle Eye, maybe your defending hero could learn some new spells after succesfully defending the town, maybe he could even specialise in it or get some artifacts to increase chances.
What about First Aid, could this skill be useful to Rampart, Fortress and Necropolis? It's a way to heal a Gold Dragon for example.
So which skills would you pick for a town defender?

Earth, Air and Wisdom (as always), artillery to increase the arrowtowers and estates, to make a profit from a hero that doesn't do much else. I would always get tactics for a town keeper, if offered.
