Try, Heroes 3 HD mod for starters. You can play the game whit higher resolution, more color dept bit possibilities and you can run the game whitout the disk.
If that does not help, update your system drivers manually if you don't want to change XP. There's always a way and you don't need any real money repairing this. (Unless you buy new computer)
And.. Sorry for thinking you where a bot, making 3 same post here and there made me suspicious.

I tbink the problem is in .dll libraries which a4e reepossibpe for .mp3 format.
