Legends creators alive?
We all know such masterpieces as
'Lord Rings', 'Return to home', 'Xiedu' by Season
many maps by Grigor Minchev;
The representative of the CIS, but the most popular map 'Paragon' by Rincewind;
or titanic work living legend - Salamandre (Valery)
and other well-known maps - 'Wayfarer', 'The Lord of War', 'The Empire of The World ' ...etc.
But were the first creators, who began to make cards. They are still available in the standard game -
Jason Russell 1999
(Titanic Pride: Episodes I, II, III
Angelic Pride: Episodes IV, V, VI
Devilish Pride: Episodes VII, VIII, IX)
and
The Pink Demon 1999
(1 - Might! The Magic Tale
2 - Blood! The Vampire's Tale
3 - Brother! The Beast's Tale
4 - Blinded! The Knight's Tale
5 - Finish it! The Great War
6 - The Ultimate Battle
7 - Epilogue )
At this time, they look easy and sometimes with errors. But they would be if they are now engaged their level would be like Salamandre.
it was 17 years, and no information about them yet online .. knows what are they doing now? They play in Heroes? or at least alive?

I have some answers as I am in contact with some of the names aforementioned, but I fear the legend I am should not involve in petty and mortal advertising.

at least, expected from Jason Rasell release 'The End of Pride: Episode X', and how not even it, and The Pink Demon now remember about Heroes 3?

I had an email exchange with Andrew Tanzi (Unleashing the Bloodthirsty) for a while, then Grigory Mintchev too (he released a new map btw). Tanzi doesn't have the game anymore but he was curious about wog thing so I teased him a while.
Then there are other young mapmakers proudly holding the flag, Doc Sumann, Kingslayer, Biobob, their works are at top level. Aquamarine is wise tactician but, in my opinion, his maps lack quality design to shine overall. But it also depends on what each player looks for.

It's true, the only annoyance there is about being a good designer is that there comes a time when you need to engage in something else, and then have to spend another 20 years to catch up in that area too. Make sure you spend your time right.
