War between ToH and Tavern?
I just want to have some clarity on what exactly the problem is between these two
because I'm really confused on why it has to be this way..
what are your reasons..is it all a big joke, cause i don't think it's funny anymore.
I for one am in the middle
I have lots of friends in the toh but also in tavern and I just don't get some people
I mean this is not RL and I like to think that we're all sensible in some way..
We just have different points of view, but that's ok
I just wish people could open their minds to other points of view without starting a war.
Is that too much to ask?
And please only people who have something nice to share respond to this.
We need to work on this together
I am aware this might seem a bit corny to you all, but I'm trying to be serious, because I really am sick of this fued.
and if you don't care about HC, just don't post here.

Hmm... Seems that a lot happened here lately... I didn't even notice a war! But I guess there is one. I am not a TOHer, I never read a single post from the TOH. I spend most of my time here in the Tavern. But that doesn't mean that I am by all means on the side of the Tavern. What I say is:
End this stupid feud (not fued, feud)!
Make peace, not war!
All HoMM fans are a one big family!
HoMM fans - UNITE!

I am breaking a personal rule by posting in the Tavern at all but....
Many of the ToH'ers consider you guys to be "TossersMaximus"
and they only stop in here occasionally to get a look at the strangeness going on.
Almost none of the threads are Heroes oriented and many of the posters have never or... almost never played Heroes at all.
Many of the posters and mods here are pre-pubescent in age or inclination and have younger role-playing ideas and/or agenda.
Having said that I think the Tavern has some people that I like a lot and some I uhhh... dont. But, there is room for everyone on HC and the Tavern is where many of you belong.
There is no war between the two... Tossers from ToH come here sometimes to leave some droppings and tossers from here go to ToH to... well... toss. (Or pretend they know something about Heroes).
In any case, Some of us are Heroes players on both boards and some of us are Tossers on both boards but there is plenty of room for both.

Well...
I am torn...
as you all know, I am friends with the tosser gang (ie Stiven and Andi) and many ToHers, but that might be because I'm non threatening... I never feel I know enough to argue.
However, as you all know I've been getting more and more upset by all the In-fighting. There is no need. When all the rubbish stops, perhaps I can lay Debbie to rest. But she doesn't offend anybody and is childish in a sweet and simple way, not a malicious and calculating way.
Some of the posts I've seen have been very, very, cruel, and rightly deleted. I think it was also wrong for many of the 'taverners' to respond the way the did, however, so I refuse to lay the blame on either side.
I would like to praise Woock here... he is only 13 and has declined to get involved in any of this, which makes those of you who are older and allegedly wiser look even more ridculos. I'd also like to praise Wesley who, even though provoked, did not go back to his bad old ways.
I'd also like to apologise on behalf of my fellow HCers to 'newbies' such as RainBow and Genevive for the shocking display over the past few weeks. I don't know what to say, really.
You all know how rarely I am serious here. How much I like to laugh things off... but sometimes you can't. We don't need this... 'fun' fighting is fine (ie, Gootch Vs Me and Romana) but when the knives get out I just have to say that if fighting has ever acomplished anything, I'd like to hear of it.
Be Good, and if anybody ruins my wedding I will be VERY angry...

To bad me and others just like to pick on eachother... I just can't get along with some... But unlike others, im a person that won't ignore good post of the people I dislike.. When they make a good topic I will reply aswel, not only when they make mistakes, what many people do against me... they ignore my FEW good topics but pick on me on my bad ones... even when i'm not flame at somebody.

im a hardcore TOHer  and i write both on tournement of honour and tavern section... i think because of some tavern posters toh people thinks that tavern dwellers doesnt know the game.. and they are right to think because really i read ridiculous tactics and dumb strategies about heroes3 from some tavern funs with many red and yellow stars in toh section .... please these people doesnt post on toh... tohers laugh to them... tournement of honour is for best players and before to post on toh you must think twice
and ... i think there is no war between toh and tavern... fields marshall andi, lord hamsi and footman stiven writes here...

Spot on Hamsi, I was gonna reply but I would have just repeated what you said. I like to come to the tavern occaisionally because its funny. Funny humorous? or funny stupid? Well, probably a bit of both.

Cat you remind me of me when I was hear I played many games & made alot of friends in toh but also was more close to you guys here in the tavern.
Most of you guys dont play toh & it's like a middle school where only certain grades are aloud.
I used to post mean remarks or mostly reasonable remarks about disrespect to newbies & tavern fellows but Defreni talked some good sense into me & some you my tavern friends got into my mean side & I had to stop being nive in an extent because I was getting token advantage of.
TOH is like a big bully to us taverns & I am in the middle but I like both places.
Can you imagine if Mocara also posted here lol.

Well when I arrived here I opened the door to the tavern pulled up a stool and haven't really left since lol.....I have to admit the friendliness here has overrode any bad or unfriendly behaviour you have mentioned. I do go to the other areas to read posts and learn more about the game but I work full time lead a busy life and find here is a place I can have fun (with what I have discovered so far)friendly welcoming people.....So make love not war

I first stated off at the Tavern, but then I got intrugued by ToH, so I joined. Thus, I'm more of a Tavern Dweller than ToHer, but still, I hated the ones who used "ToHer" as a curse (hated them ONLY while reading the post).
There was some battling, but not a war.
Also here's an idea for those who wanna post at the ToH section - first play ToH, at least once!

I dislike TOH
Because of a person Named JIELS
He posted that he didn't want me back... But I didn't know him at all..
SOme TOH came with reasons I hated them for.. I don't even posted on their TOH forems..
And they said people like unicorn(or something) and mocara didn't posted on this board anymore because of me...(What's total BULL$hit because I never post on that board and they never come here)
And I dislike their KING appearance.. And their saying that only they are good in Heroes(as you join TOH yeah right)

While people may not like you, there is no need to discriminate against the whole of ToH, because of Jiels. Hell I guess you can include me in all that because we do not get along either, but to hate all of ToH because of the minority is narrow-minded. You may not want to give ToH a chance, that is your option. You may not play online, or may not even want to, but the members in Toh are not like you portray them. I like Jiels, the same as I like most members of ToH, all you did was have some arguments online, not grounds for hatred in my opinion.
By the way, there is no ToH/Tavern war, its just peoples imaginations

Why should I not DISLIKE(I always say hate but that's not the right word) them aswel?
People like mocara and unicorn and midnightwraith(or whatever they are called, I never IM or posted something with them) dislike me aswel... as they just went of HC because I was posting on the Altar and Tavern..(They never posted even 1 little small post in both tavern or ALtar) So why they leaved?
or they are really crazy or jiels was just drunk or something..
Many people of the TOH were not nice against me eather.
The only persons who were nice to me joined toh later.. And ofcourse my twin Undead_Knight And don't say I dislike WHOLE TOH because I don't dislike melissa and Vesuvius.
I didn't disliked any of you TOH in the start.. It went it's way down in some threads..(Rychenroller,jiels,motorschaaf,Sir_Stiven,Andi)
And don't say i'm the only tosser.. I can post goodstuff aswel.. If I look at some tossers(Who are from TOH) then I really think they can't come up with serious things in the Altar or tavern.

The people you named are such a small part of it all, so many people play ToH, there are always players to suit your needs/style of play/attitude to gaming.

And if you think like that it's fine with me.. .If you don't pick on me I won't do it eather.
And don't read TO close in my posts.. I'm not natural english and never ment EVERYBODY in toh.. How many play it and don't even post on the TOH board? MANY! It was just a small group... but in that group where the most top 5 players, I understand out some posts that andi/motorschaaf and rychenroller were all in the top5 of all?
But whatever it's over for me now.. I only hope andi is feeling that way to.. because he didnt posted here YET.

I must say ..I'm really happy we are able to talk in a civilized manner and I thank you all for keeping this thread clean.
Ofcourse I didn't mean there was an actual war going on.
That why I put the question mark behind it..
I was just getting so sick of all the nasty things that were beeing said about eachother and think it's totally obsolete..
Ofcourse there will always be people that don't like eachother but that's part of human nature.
If we could all get along this would be a boring place.
But if you have a problem with someone, don't go involving other people and solve it by yourselves.
I think this will help a lot.
So in conclusion I would say..Clean up your own mess
