If anything it's in the Roman Empire as the province of Sikelia.
Fun fact, the kingdom of Sicily at one point annexed Tunisia and Tripoli.

Neraus wasn't it the order of Malta? They speak arabic by the way.

As far as I remember they were even three of Sicilies...In Ancient times also Sardinia was called Sicily too...In the times of Kingdom of both Sicilies or just before because of some succession issues the continental part of kingdom was called Sicily as well...

Sardinia being defined as the third Sicily is news to me however...

I read about it couple years ago...I was suprised too...I don't remember the source...when I find it I will link it...maybe there was some mistake or map was bad described...
