I don't think a timer will  help much ... I don't H4 is an improvement on H3 at all .  I loved playing heroes and each
heroes was an improvement in game playability and pure fun..
until now

Jinxer, how it's possible taht Heroes 4 is THAT slow on a 500mhz cpu, 512 ram and 64mb graphic card?!
i have 450mhz, 192 ram and 32 mb card, and the game runs acceptable, it's only the battle and a bit map scrolling what's slow
