[Newbie] Homm 3 pack ?
Hello,
Im not a old player of homm 3 yes I tried it like 12 years ago for the first time but havent played since then like almost never.
So the question do someone got a decent Homm 3 all in one installer/pack so there would be all the most popular mods/maps/ new units/new factions and more. I found one working on this forum for WOG+ ERA 2 (not sure what is era 2) installed hd mod on top and its good but not that many changed visible in the gameplay it self yes that WOG option menu is a big and lots of changes but about visible is new units in the game and new factions thats the thing I want to see mby smth like third evolution of units would be cool too.

ERA is the new WoG and has zounds of stuff which will take you time to explore. Tons of awesome stuff but if you're coming back to the game I suggest you Horn of the Abyss, easy install and very faithful to the original in both spirit and quality, much new content and enhanced gameplay.

I will try it sounds like smth interesting few more questions.
1) is there a mod that adds bunch of new mobs on the map and mby changed few of those in the factions or rather the mod that gives third upgrade for the units?
2) Is there a mod that changed the graphic aspect of the cities like redesign them ?

its not the same question, sorry for misunderstand. He suggested that thing yes I tried it and liked will play it for some time but mine was for few additional mods for more mobs/creatures on the map and cities redesign.

HoTA is the only mod proposing both additional creatures and new city/faction.

How about chekcing actual mods instead of video from 2009? The second one explicitely says it's for WoG.
WoG can't ADD a new town or faction, only modify or rearrange existing ones. To add factions, you need VCMI.

Thansk for info, Im not that much into mods of Homm Idk what is that VHMI or whatever thing u mentioned but I understand what its for in my case, any ideas how to find a mod for cities redesign ?

Yes I noticed you asked for the first page only but even there last update is from februar 2014... I'd just like to say when you see so much pages and threads and not even knowing what may be "HotA, WoG, VCMI, MoP, HD,..." you don't know where to read or what things means and if some are intresting or not "now"...
I think even Salamandre cannot say by mind "this precise mod link is described here at page X" and all know he knows well this forum especially in Era thread...
(Hmmm, now 50% chances he asks us : "No I don't remember its on this page at this line written by this guy at this date" also giving the minute it was posted...  )
For HotA (Horn of the Abyss) : Latest version 1.4.2 (it has 1,5 year old)

VCMI is some other mod who try to remake the game and then, it'll be possible to add new factions. For now its not finished, as far as I know, one of main problem is finishing map editor. Correct if I'm wrong.
Era/Wog is quite heavy system who adds tons of things and for me "a bit too much". I mean it changes so much the game and with so many options... I'm loosed in them and I had frequently bug when I disabled some option in menu to make the game "more standard". But it has an enormous potential to change the game and many things are done on it. But to change things its the more efficient, many mods exist on there... Installing it there is tools who help you to install the mods on it. Avatar's right, on first page you'll got some links (I hope not broken) to download Era2.
In all cases I suggest you HD mod too, its a "mod" who ameliorates interface but not change the game itself. I truly like it...

You are wrong. VCMI is completely new ENGINE and platform for mods (and modders).
While it lacks some AI polish and multiplayer features, it has decent mod support and tons of mods already available.

Heh, no, I wasn't act to be rude, just typed my answer on my phone, but... there's not many fresh ERA mods last months. All outstanding era mods were made when era was in peak of its popularity. So, all town redesign mods are gathered in this sticky topic under TOWNS section.

I just wanna say "its hard to find what you search" on there without some "help" about "where is written things". My answer is not due to your post only but accumulation of posts who says "hey all's written, why you ask this ?".
I even have difficulties to find what I serach in the "How to mod HotA" thread I read entirely and more than one time...
Maybe I got lack of brains... I shall eat some soon...

Most threads are stickied with mod links working and descriptions from authors, even screenshots, and for ones that aren't stickied is not really that hard to browse...

ERA is perfectly stable and operational, crashes are 99% of time due to bad install or conflicting mods, often resulting in not reading readmes that come along mods, or even simply in mods descriptions, which you do read, right?

Even standard normal game is not perfectly stable... And that's why some persons are still making some mods to correct bugs. So... Don't say its perfectly stable.
I copy a standard game with no mod at all, install the Wog/Era on it played in only changing some option from menu (not having installed even one more mod) and game was slow and after some weeks crashed. When I replaced options to "standard" that worked but I dislike many options.
I tested something like three, two and one year ago. Thoughting it was language, I installed a fresh english game to test. Same kind of result.
You have an opinion, I have one other. I've never told mine is a fact and my knowlege of Era2/wog is light.
Anyways, I thank alot all persons who improved Era/Wog and may still continue the mods even if this one is not the one I prefer. I also thank persons who still try to restore links and answer nicely to persons who post.
And even if I'm not fond at all of Wog, Era2 is a very good tool in expert's hands.
I tested it more recently with "standard SoD mod", it worked well and as I told after finishing what I can without mod, I'll possibly use one other to continue to change things if I got enough energy and time and motivation.

And as Galaad pointed, you just don't read. Wog mod IS bugged, therefore WoG revised mod has to be used when you play ERA. We din't remove WoG vanilla because that would have break compatibility with old maps, instead we worked our ass to fix it and release as WoG revised. But who cares, right?
