spicy food is great if done right. That means no drowning them in chilis and tobasco sauce.

Darling, I know youre a delicate Baltic snowflake, but chile peppers can be used as a base ingredient in Latin foods, the way you would eat a steak or potatoes. Being a pussy is fine but there is nothing "wrong" with drowning food in something that IS food.

Tobasco sauce should be used in moderation so it doesnt override the food itself (though if its something simple like eggs or rice, you can really use it as much as you feel like).

California is a big state, so my remarks will be limited to the San Francisco area, where I live. SF itself has a significant homelessness problem - they camp out on the sidewalks and smell really bad. (This may not be notable to those of you living in European cities, but everywhere else I've lived in the US wasn't like this.) Also, housing is really expensive: I pay a ridiculous amount for a single room in a shared house, and I'm a software engineer. My mom, visiting from Kansas, described the area as "Where rich people live like poor people". That part is the fault of NIMBYs - people who bought their houses decades ago and now prevent development. More generally, the area seems to be poorly governed, not from an ideological perspective, but simply administratively. For example, the subway often suffers delays, the stations are filthy, and the escalators frequently break down.

But I still like it more than anywhere else I've lived. The weather is great, of course. People mind their own business, unlike the small town where I grew up, and are generally more tolerant/apathetic about weird stuff that others do in their personal lives. And overall, people here are more similar to me (in a broad cultural sense) than probably in most places in the world.

San Fransisco and San Diego are quite classy.

You would love Commiefornia. You could still eat caveman food while cheering for a basketball team that doesnt play like ****.

I remember the first time I tasted jalepenos.

I actually wanted to try hot / spicy food from a young age, the first time I got the chance was some low quality chili on a pizza, but I was on a field trip, and a classmate of mine said it would give me stomach aches.. something I didn't want to risk given I didn't want to use public toilets. Though I was still tempted to try.

Some years later I finally got around to try a pizza with jalapenos on it, and it was a very interesting experience, the first time it was definitely too hot for me, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. What surprised me wasn't the burning sensation in my mouth and throat, but that water didn't help and my nose started running like crazy.

Later I found out milk was a better choice if things got too hot, but of course you got soda with a pizza, and when I then tried water the effect was just as little.

Anyway I felt like trying again some days or weeks later, the same thing happened, and it continued like this and I ate it more and more often, until the sensation was gone.

@Maurice

You should use starchy food (bread, rice) or milk to fire hydrant your mouth if it is really hot.

Mexicans have a wonderfully delish drink called Horchata. It is a mix of dairy milk, rice milk, sugar, cinammon, and nutmeg; served on ice.. Pour it down throathole to neutralize all heat.

White knight is a word angry men use on men who are successful with women. I can be 100% positive women in Lithuania would love me so much more than Lithuanian men. Women couldnt even vote in your country until 1990.

Yeah, I know, but why would I block out all other taste while eating and then counter the hot effect after eating, to begin with? I much more prefer to taste the full palette of whatever it is I am eating. Otherwise I might just as well eat cardboard with jalapenos.

It never was like the backwards west. As the article Artu linked explains it well. Even in dark medieval times women of glorious Litvo-Polak Empire had more rights than their western counterparts. Give it a read, my dear gringo soyboy.

You fail again BlizzardSoyboy. God you're more pathetic than ever these past few days. calling us losers, then making a fake post about Gandalf dying, now this crappy trolling of yours.

Grow the bleep up.

Ummm. Ok.

1) women couldnt vote before 1990 because you were pro-Hitler/Mussolini followed by pro-Stalin as your own parliment invited him to invade.

2) You picked the fight from the beginning so wtf are you talking about?
