Ranking terrains

Is there any source or data about that? In random map generator Grass is seems flat better than the other terrains and doesn't it give unfair advantage to Castle and Rampart?

Also is is true that Lava is the poorest terrain and worst terrian after swamp and snow?

The only advantage here is that there's a lack of a disadvantage as the more Grassland there is, the less of terrain there is in which these Towns would suffer a penalty.

Grass has also the lowest penalty afaik. If you think about that, it makes sense for grass to be more abundant, as it buffs up Castle/Rampart's native advantage against towns like Fortress with its swamp.

Grass has no movement penalty like dirt or lava but seems it a lot richer than other terrains am I wrong?

I used to play SoD and there were just abundant of fire lakes in lava. It was one of the poorest terrain though in HotA, terrains looks more balanced but still I think grass is richer.

Grass is OK, but there are other good terrains like Highlands (might be even better than grass, has very nice unique buildings) or Dirt. Stronghold one is also OK.

Lava is kinda bad, no crypts.
Snow and Swamp suck since the penalty is big.

If they are not balanced and give advantages/disadvantages to towns than shouldn't be they fixed?

I think the terrains should be inherently different, just like in the real world. It's their native town that need to be buffed or nerfed to make balance.
