Making maps more challenging (motivating the AI)
Hi there,
I once read that the AI can be motivated by placing lots of seers with quests and it will then strive to solve them. But in my map there are loads of seer quests which the AI did not yet solve when I came into his realm. Even relatively easy ones (like bringing 50 satyrs with multiple satyr dwellings nearby) weren't done.
Is it important which kind of quest the AI has? Is it more likely to solve certain types of quests?
What else can you do to give the AI a bit of a push? I always prefered playing maps that allow every player to be chosen as a human player, so that's the kind of map I like to create. Hence, I cannot make one player super strong, because you could just pick that one as human player.

You can add "Events" for the AI that activate only when the AI passes over them.

I have found out that treasure chest are a good motivator for the AI.
Example having a quest guard that can be opened by the AI at day X. That day comes and goes but the AI doesn't open it. The solution place a treasure chest behind the quest guard and that will motivate the AI.
Water wheels sorta work but not always.
I've found that the AI ignores certain dwellings on the map, so that may be the problem.
