-12,2C° and 8,3C°.. An odd house. Because of an old American building style/model. If in the future come more colder. I fear electric changes ice or house changes mold. In Finland we know a mold, but we don't worry a electric. Only it takes more payment for warms house. Maybe I'm a freak. I must to think Russian Siberia.  I hope you and your house survices a cold, Gnomes.

my absolute evil, unsustainable ways of chopping down woodland and using lumber for heat allows me to comfortably enjoy a nice temperature of 24 degrees Celsius indoors. Like a Czar.
who would've thought that 'outdated' ceramic tile ovens/fireplaces are the best house heating solution in winter. I only wish mine was as fancy as those found in renaissance palaces.

All depends on the isolation of the house. I have an iron stove for burning wood but doesnt do much despite stonewalls, since heat isolation on the roof and on the windows suck unfortunately.

If you can, upgrade to a cocklestove either german or russian style, they're better at retaining and radiating heat. I'd actually say they're the best. and ofc fix the roof.
My house is well insulated, and hasn't had a 'modernisation' in terms of insulation. Still original build from mid 40s. with 'double' windows. so heat retention is pretty good.

A good 'double', when my window is a two thick glass plates / sheet glasses, thus 50's but a newer window 90's. The last year asked cold? No, if yes they change a modern window with 4 thick plates. My grandma bought top model many years ago, now's cheap 4 thick plates. So I don't know better window model. But normal every 10 years between changes a new window. 10 year!

I suppose, the politically correct term for a midget might be "in-size-handicapped" - but actually I prefer the short and precise terms, like dwarf. And an idiot is an idiot, not a mentally-handicapped person.
