Trump is going to win again because the Democratic Party is paid to lose. They had a supermajority in both chambers and the presidency in 2009-2010 and instead of doing the public option Obama campaigned on they bowed to the health insurance companies and did the Heritage Foundation's healthcare plan. If Manchin and Sinema weren't blocking build back better it would be Blumenthal, or Wagner, or some other "moderate" Democrat in the Senate. And if not, just enough House Democrats would suddenly decide they couldn't support it anymore. This is how it always goes when they have power. Don' believe me? Look at how they govern in California and compare it to their campaign promises.
Ever since the New Deal Era where the Socialist Party was winning elections at every level of government, the Democratic Party's role has been to take leftist organizing energy and redirect it towards an organization that will never fundamentally change anything in order to prevent actual socialists (which nobody in the Democratic Party is besides Bernie Sanders) from ever taking power. The New Deal was itself basically copy-pasted from the Socialist Party's platform and then watered down to not be too disruptive to big business. Not all that different from how the Green New Deal that Ed Markey and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez proposed is a watered-down capitalism-friendly of the Green Party's Green New Deal that they proposed 10 years earlier.
