More than 8 heroes?
Would be possible to mod that faction that could have more than 8 active heroes on the map?

You can hide one hero in each town so you can recruit more!

What about having more than 16 inactive heroes available per faction that can be recruited? I always thought it would be a good balance if each faction had a creature specialty from 1-7. There's no specialty for halberdiers/pikemen and sprites for example. The level 7's I would say only to balance kilgor's and Xeron's specialty. mutare and lord haart have unique specialties that would also be good to make for other factions. a +5 atk/df/dmg for the faction's best units.

I think those specialties for level 7s would be OP
Specialties for level 1s are also considered very strong for competitive, but only due to the starting monster change (many troglodytes, many gremlinks, etc.) - If they started with normal creatures, then it would be OK.
