No. Layer is only for H4.
Only I know this viever:
H4ResEx
Put pluggins in Main folder. You can see h4d and pack your layer to h4r game file.

Is anyone did this before at heroescommuniy?
Or is anyone have a knowledge about that?
Since 1.5 years i cannot do that.

Absurd no virus Windows bug.
You dont need pack. Put layer in data with name: layers.dialog.blacksmith.life.h4d . It works if layer is correct.

Baron. Since the started i am telling you i cannot open layer files 
Check the picture at first post or my previous post. IT is Heroes 4 Resource Editor. I have tested it on 2 different versions and i am unable to open layer file.
Back in the days i was able to open it while double clicking on it.

Do you have the latest version of the Resource Editor? It should be able to open layer files, else I suggest taking contact to iLiVeInAbOx05.
Have you tried extracting the layer file and opening it with e.g Gimp image editor?
Second option is using Namerutans Resource editor (cant recall the exact name), that program can also read/view and extract and pack layer files.

What means 'open'? Resedit2 can do preview and convert to BMP. The same H4ResEx.
But for what? If layer is good - work. So first must be tested by puting h4d on data folder.

Can you give me the link of your software? I have downloaded it from several websites. Maybe all of them was outdated i don't know?
I want to record video steps by steps want to show you how it won't work. By the way other menu buttons are not working too (settings, help, edit)

layers > dialog > blacksmith > life
And still i cannot open the file.

If you're trying to open the layers file, why are you creating a new h4r container and adding the file to it? Why not just open the file...
File->open and then select the h4d file (make sure the h4d file filter is selected)...

Not knowing where your files are is not a problem of the resource editor's. You're just going to have to figure out where your file is, and then navigate to it when trying to open h4d files with the resource editor.
Remember to make sure the file filter is set to h4d and not h4r (h4d should be the default filter), and make sure your layers file has the .h4d extension so that it can be recognized when searching through the file system.

Ok ok just realized this file not opens when i export from equi.h4r but it is working when i export it from heroes4.h4r
Now let me experiment on it, i will update the final result in here. I am bored to see this scene. Since 1.5 years i am unable to do that. Now i am going to get a coffee and work on it. Tomorrow i will update.
