it happens to me too, sometimes I post and then it says "heroes commmunity rapid posting overload protection active" so I assume my post didn't get through, so I post again, but then it says "FloodProtect Active!!!
X seconds remaining" so I wait for floodprotect to end and post again, but then I end up posting two identical posts in a row because my original post got through despite the overload protection, which doesn't make sense at all.

"heroes commmunity rapid posting overload protection active" doesn't prevent your post from going through. You just need to wait a bit for it to go through.
Conversely, the fact that you're getting that message might mean that you post too much, too quickly.

"heroes commmunity overload protection active" just means you need to wait a bit for the page to load.
Confusing these times (obsolete) but doesn't stop you from posting
