The sound of scuttling gets louder, until a cacophony of tapping echoes through the cavern into a thunderous roar!
Around the bend curve a 'dozen troglodytes', brandishing small pikes as they begin to growl. Many more can be heard to follow.
 Round1 vs 3 x 'dozen troglodytes'(a, b, c)
@Galaad your turn 
Note: in combat you choose who goes after you, and may elect 1 of the enemies if you want (in this case a 'dozen troglodytes' = 1 enemy). once each combatant has acted we escalate rounds, then everyone gets another turn.

On it!, [*black dragon roars in fury*], when it's my turn the black dragon flies over and hits 2 dozen troglodytes with it's breath attack, sharpshooters defend.

The last dozen troglodytes round the bend and upon seeing Blackie they stop fast in their tracks, then wildly throw their pikes. Half of them die to friendly fire, but one actually manages to hit Galaad.
Half a dozen troglodytes remain, scrambling amidst the corpses of their fallen brethren.
Now that the noise of the horde has died down, it sounds like water splashing further down the corridor ahead.
@Galaad your status is now:  injured
Note, status goes: healthy > injured >  sick > ko >  undead
@Drakon your turn

With one fell swoop you slice right through the last of the trogs.
Victory vs 3 x 'dozen troglodytes'
Spoils: a bunch of tiny pikes that could be used as arrows.
Nimbly, I carefully prance between the corpses, deftly snatching some of the tiny pikes as I pathfind down the corridor..
"Sounds like water up ahead, and I'm thirsty! Hey, it looks like the carvings on the walls start to light up ahead 
Does anyone want to do anything before we go, are we all ready to move on"

While scouring the cave wall on the left-hand side, nestled among the shadowy crevices you discover a crack just large enough for troglodytes to scurry through. You might be able to fit if you crouch, but it will be tight for sure.
We now have 3 pathways 
through the narrow passage the trogs came from.
further down the corridor ahead towards the sound of water.
back the way we came to the fork at the cave entrance.
Since combat is over its anyones go!
