The gargoyle falls to the ground relinquishing it's grasp upon Ardent, and crashes into pieces.
2 gargoyles remain (a, c)
yogi tosses the tiny pikes he looted from the troglodytes over to Ardent's sharpshooters, so they can use them as arrows to expediently shoot another volley.

OK, I roar in fury, and have blackie use his strongest fire breath on gargoyle c), and have the sharpshooters rain a tiny pike volley on gargoyle a).  *don't mess with a dragon tamer*

Blackie melts the gargoyle that was circling over yogi, and from it's cloud of ashes a big red ruby falls splashing into the pond at his feet.
@Drakon: looking down you also notice that amidst the rubble of the gargoyle at your feet lies another big red ruby.
It appears as though the gargoyles' glowing red eyes emanated from big, magic red rubies in their heads.
Ardent's squad of sharpshooters swiftly draw the tiny pikes back into their bowstrings and successively loose another volley at the final gargoyle menacing Galaad. Not one of them misses, and the pin cushion tumbles lifelessly to the ground.
@Galaad: there's beer on your armor, and a mug lying before you, empty.
 Victory vs 4 gargoyles
Spoils: big red rubies.
yogi steps into the fountain and as he retrieves the big ruby in the pool he shouts: "Hey there's magic glyphs glittering within the waterfall! They look to be similar to those we saw back on the ceiling of the tunnel:
Path of Magic I"
Combat's over so anyone can go
yogi inventory: big ruby, journal, picnic blanket, pasta salad, climbing gear

I claim one ruby for myself, and then eat my remaining sausages and drink pure waterfall water to restore my status to healthy again.
ArdentWyrm's Inventory: 10 sharpshooters, 1 black dragon, beer, large ruby. Status: injured , hopefully sausage and water will make it into healthy again.

Everyone claims a ruby noticing an intrinsic, minuscule light shining at their hearts.
yogi exclaims, "I think the carvings in the fountain connect with the glyphs in the waterfall:
The Path of Magic I
Command Thy Chosen Power &
Vow The Path of Peace
Whilst Purified By The Waters
The Vow Is Thy Power".
He then turns around to Drakon, "sure, i dont think ive ever had mititei before, sounds good! this is actually a great place for a picnic..".
yogi unties the big picnic blanket that hed been wearing as a cape from around his neck, and lays it down in front of the fountain.
"These mititei are great!  Is there a special spice in them?"

you finish off the last of your sausages and as you approach the waterfall you begin to hear a hum and the faint ringing of bells; and the waters shimmer extraordinarily.

@Ardent: after feasting your status is healthy
With your face closer to the water youre able to discern that the drops spraying off the waterfall crystallize as they split off from the falls, then re-liquefy as they splash back into the fountain; and the sound of high-pitched bells chimes from these tiny crystalline droplets ricocheting off each other. The waterfall itself still appears to just be water. However as yogi pointed out, within the flowing falls are shimmering glyphs of light that translate to: "The Path of Magic I". The humming noise seems to be emanating from the base of the falls.
After the picnic everyone returns to being healthy
As he is folding the picnic blanket yogi notices Ardent over near the falls and calls out:
 "I am seriously of the mind that those glyphs you're looking at in the water connect to the carvings in the fountain beneath your feet"...
