Balancing or Rebalancing unit mod for H3?
Hi there i am new to the forum
Is there any mod that change the balance for H3? I personally feel some units are too good and some towns are weak in the unit deppartment.
If there any mod that fix or try to fix that?
If not, is there any place i can learn on how to make a mod for homm3? so just for fun and start making that in my own opinion nothing serius just for my own and then see if people like it and share it?

thanks interesting mod i will look it around.
But seems too changing from what i am looking and did not change some points i believe the game need for example a less strong angel/archangel, but cheaper, better stats for the hydra etc but i will test it for sure

Only ballance mod is very easy now. Only txt files. But Hexadecimal modding is easy top because we know important content.

Thanks i could not found the ZCRTRAIT.EXE then i realice it was just CRTRAIT in my installation.
Great its easier than i think

I personally don't know one but if you download WoG/ERA mods it should be easier to mod HoMM3.

Haha. At the start just modding -raw stats, -then maybe add some skills that already exist to other creatures and -then maybe new skills for creatures.

You will notice some H5 influece in the devil joke of 166 hp. (Blue text is the change situation)
This is what i am doing right now, i start edditing with the CRTRAITS and apprently it worked with no problem. I did not check the skills yet
EDIT: ohh and i forguet i dont like how the Hate skill works, i possible want to remove it from black dragons and titans, change it for the Angel/archangel to reduce it value but make it affect all infernals and maybe keep it in Devils against angels (maybe lowering it too) and maybe keep it in Genie vs efreeti (both sides)

hate just gives +50% damage boost when attacking hated creatures.

Yea i know but i do not like it, mostly because hate vs same enemy that hate you feels a little bit silly in my opinion, its just a personal opinion.
Thats why i want to change it, and also 50% seems more than a big upgrade.
EDIT:
I was thinking in give
-Angels/Archangesl +20% vs all infernals
-Devils keep the 50%? or reduce it to 40% since it would be double the angels do to them, and also angels got nerfed in other stats while devils dont (even buffed)
-Give Crusader +20% vs undead (inspiration from homm2 paladin).
-Give Zealot 10% vs "evil" factions (undead, infernals, and dungeon) or maybe just vs undead and infernals.
-Remove B. Dragon vs Titan hate
-Keep the genies efreeti

Just want to add a skill, all that is in blue is what i think it should be changed/added.
In the case of the Green dragon, Golden dragon i just dont want them to be a inferior but cheaper black dragon.
I guess is just a vision of a more versatil (faster and add some useful skills to help allies) than the B dragon that is now with the changes the best creature competing side to side with the titan.
