I made a specific change and i don't remember
Hello. I was replaced Scouting and Stealth with Combat and Melee and i don't remember how made this change. Is anyone can help me about that?

Where you replaced it? Starting skills for chaos heroes?
if its just that, the adresses should be where baronus says:

Uhm i am not 100% sure but is this topic teaches how to change starting skills of heroes? It is yes then. When it comes to Heroes 4 edit i am forgetting many things..

You can check on Return to the Avenger (MWM2) H4 map.. Preserve's Ebony hero shows his skills are Tactics, Defense, Nature and Herbalism. True hero was Archer.. I changed it..

That topic indeed tells how to do that via hex editing of the .exe file
